Dealertrack DMS is the cheapest, most inconsistent, flakey, useless DMS. Reports randomly stop working, the phone support often takes 30 minutes or more to get on the phone. The tier 1 help is pathetic, like they've never used the program but want to question the validity of the issues I'm calling on. If you get put on hold while they talk to an engineer, they will snipe you into a microsoft teams meeting where magically the issue has been solved even though you've been on the phone for an hour. Then the support person laughs and says, this happens all the time. I wonder why... If you work for a company that is thinking about using Dealertrack, run. Go find somewhere else to work. This system is a productivity killer that will cost you money. Spend it on CDK or ADP, avoid this DMS. They are absolutely the worst, nobody could make a crappier program for DMS than this. If dealertrack was a car it would be a 1971 Ford Pinto.

This company can hold you hostage at any point of the day! They always have a problem with their site and their is absolutely no customer relations at all. Think twice before buying into anything with this company. I love how they have all those wonderful google reviews on the front page! I have attempted to write a review their and it takes an act of congress to get that done.

Would not recommend working for this company. Phone QA is near impossible to please no matter if you have a 100% client survey satisfaction score. If you do not say what they think you should say or do then they knock off points. Management would not be able to step in and do the job if they had to. They don't know how to do the job. Training on new equipment is almost non existent. They started using a new credit card machine. Only one person knew the details of how to install the machine and program and troubleshoot both. They fired that person with no back up. Their knowledge base had little to no information on troubleshooting and installing either. Their knowledge base is not user friendly for employees or clients. Very hard to find what you are looking for unless you know the exact words to search by. Google it is not. Be wary of a companies that say they value their employees.

So glad I don't work there. Let's just say that I was so depressed and on edge working there that I wanted to throw my chair at the window and jump out for freedom.

We have been with Dealer Track for 8 years and when complicated problems arise, they cannot figure it out in a timely manner. Been waiting over a week for an issue to be resolved that I desperately need fixed to aide me in closing my year out. Would definitely NOT recommend this DMS system.

I quit my job of three years which is 15 miles from my house that uses CDK. I moved to a dealer four miles from my house which uses Dealertrack. I started on Tuesday and I quit on Friday to go back to my old job. I would rather drive an extra 45 minutes a day to use a good program such as CDK over using Dealertrack. I told my GM and service manager that I would walk not even with two weeks notice if they switched over to Dealertrack. There is no LRO list, you have to use another program to keep track of your tickets. You can only look at the ticket you are running time on. If you need to story out a ticket you are not running time on, first you have to put the ticket you are running time on hold, then you go and start running time on the ticket you need to close and do that. Then I hope you remember the original ticket you were running time on to get back to it.
