“If you want a wonderful bookstore with new and used books run by someone who wholeheartedly loves books and is lovely person, then this is the store for you. I have been in multiple times now and every time there are people inside having lively conversations about books or recommendations from, who I assume is the owner since he is always there at the register. The vibe is great, and there is something for everyone.”
“Having lived all over the country without access to this wonderful store has made me appreciate it more now that we’re close by! I love coming here because the spirit of peace is so strong. And of course, I appreciate being able to find books of faith and other topics that one can’t find anywhere else.”
“I love this Seagull Book! The store is big, they offer lots of items, and the prices are great! The new Sweet Salt section that they have added is wonderful too!”
“The staff are awesome they make you like you a friend. I have autism and a tbi or traumatic brain injury for those of you who don’t know. Sometimes it’s hard for me to process things. So I’m slower at responding. They’re so patient it’s so nice I wish more people were like them. I love going here to get my church supplies. ❤️”
“I absolutely love going to Deseret Book. Almost like an extension of the church building and temple in terms of happiness and sweetness of spirit.Everyone and everything uplifts and inspires and there is something for everyone from aged-wise to infant-young.The kind ladies that helped me were so helpful.”
“These are the nicest employees I've encountered. Such a cute place and so much variety! I will come back, even though it's quite a drive from where I live.”
“One of my favorite places! Lots of books, Tarot/Oracle cards, scented candles, teas and so much more for those of us seeking things to support a lifestyle more centered in nature and paganism.”
“This store has always had a very friendly staff. It's not as large as some of the ones in Utah, but it has everything for a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints here. At least, I've never had to go without, other than during Covid, which gets a pass from me.”
“I think there's almost always something I or people I'm with get when we go to Barnes and Noble. The place is easy to navigate with its open center line that branches off immediately to almost all sections. The books are generally interesting, although I particularly like non-fictional reads which have plenty of support here. In the kid's section there also appears to be some books that even an adult might find themself picking up. Sometimes they have author's at the front to sign their books and tell more about it which tempts a purchase occassionally. I do like putting a face to a name which so often goes ignored. The place is also clean and has eating options as well as items other than books, especially if you like Harry Potter paraphernalia.”
“This is my most favorite place to go! This place is so close to my heart, it's where I go for all of my recovery supplies and it has so much to offer. Every single person in the world should know about this store and shop here. They have EVERYTHING you need. All things to do with AA and other 12 step programs, books on codependency, divorce, co-parenting, eating disorders, and everything else under the sun you might be struggling with, and all sorts of cards that are so beautiful and unique, and coins to celebrate milestones, and beautiful decorations for your home unrest lift your spirits... I could go on and on. I love this store and I hope it never ever closes. ?”
“There's a great clearance section I like to check out each visit. Great discounted prices! Great selection of books, clothing, jewelry, small and large gifts, kids stuff, and CTR rings.”
“Wish they had more options in store rather then have to order it on the website. But I'm just glad that there is still a book store to go to, I will always rather read an actual book then onenon a tablet or phone...”
“We visit Gardner village at least once a month to see their displays and have stopped by the Storybook Nook many times while there. The environment is very open and kid friendly. They have a play section for children that is fun, especially if you need a minute to look for gift ideas. :) My only complaint is that they have a lot of toys and I wish they would carry more books. We love supporting local book sellers and the owner always gives great recommendations about books, there just isn't as big of an inventory as some of their local competitors. This store is also better for kids 8 and younger as they mostly have picture books.”

There are some very nice gifts in there and I was pleased to get some amber on a necklace for my daughter. Everything is very reasonably priced, and the employees were very helpful.”

“This is a good SLCC campus. It's a decent size. It's not overly crowded so it's not too difficult to find a parking spot. I was in the Medical Assistant Program here. I met a lot of friends here. They do need more food options. We would go get food in between classes around lunchtime and all the food places would be closed.”
“I love this shop!!! Julie and Carrie are both very sweet!! I started coming in when I was visiting from idaho… now that I moved here, I have a feeling I’ll be in here every payday to buy something…great shop and great people!! ???”
