Great lenses, bad frames, terrible customer service.Ive bought two pairs of Smiths, full price. Both have broken while doing regular outdoor tasks. I broke my Wildcats while rafting class 2 and my Bobcats broke washing out while skiing. After contacting Smith warranty they promised a voucher for my Bobcats which I never received. Being my second broken pair it would be the least they could do. I followed up twice to no response over two weeks. It sucks to know that i wont buy another pair purely because I know they’ll break. A simple response is all that I expected from Smith.Although they are great lenses beware of their quality and understand that their warranty is non existent.

This company’s Customer service is terrible. They also use the worst shipping company to deliver the products. Be prepared to wait forever for any resolution to any problem

Do not work for this company. Amanda and Damien the supervisors are very unprofessional. You will work 12-hour days for 6 days a week for only $15 an hour. They'll short you on your brakes and give you a hard time when you take your 15 minute breaks, trying to get you to clock back in early. Damian does not deserve the position he has and he is only a token. Damien is very irresponsible and thinks his position is demanding and prestigious all he does is push a button all day and clean lenses. They're afraid of anyone that outperforms them so they'll go out of their way to spread falsifications about you if you outperform them. They especially don't like it if you stand up for yourself, they want people that are going to shut up and get taken advantage of. Do not waste your time working for this company. They also will not train you and expect you to learn everything on your own, and belittle you for asking questions.

I've been a loyal Smith fan since 2000. I love their product & their warranty. I'm not afraid to buy their product because I know they will stand behind it if they fail. My only complaint is the ability to try on the sunglasses before buying. There aren't enough retailers that carry actual products so it's a guessing game if I'll like the fit.

I have been a lifetime customer and love the product but I think for the price you should also get good service and public relations, and just help a brother out sometimes you know?? I especially don't like that they make you buy a whole pair of glasses then sell you the prescription lenses separately?? I asked if they could just sell me a frame so I could put the other lenses in and they would not. I resent lost said prescription glasses and still had the extra lenses, I thought they would care but there were no F's given...the rudeness and unwillingness really let me down about this company. I see a lot of 5 star bs reviews... like the one in the picture.

Smith Optics is the worst company in the winter industry to do “business” with. Small business owners: steer far clear of this company — you will be extraordinarily disappointed.

Smith used to be my favorite glasses, mostly because of their customer service. However, all of these bad reviews you see on here are unfortunately correct. I just was denied for a warranty claim on a $280 pair of sunglasses that were broken because the hinge screws would come loose every time you opened and closed them. I would typically just re-tighten every week when i noticed it was coming out. On a hiking trip they finally became too loose to wear, causing the hinge to bend to the point the screw won't line up with the threads anymore. Since I couldn't wear them I had no choice but to throw them in my pack for the rest of the hike. Since the lens (more expensive glass lens) cracked while in my pack, they won't honor the warranty even though they broke because of the defective screw. I understand lenses aren't covered, but they were never broken until I couldn't wear them due to the fault hinge screw. They used to be awesome, but they must have changed their policy and I will go back to maui jim or someone that will honor their warranty.

Horrible service. I placed an order for a helmet online 24 days ago and it still has not shipped. I've sent multiple emails inquiring about it and keep getting generic responses saying "it's all packed up and ready to ship". Terrible customer service, I would never order again.

Placed an order for glasses on April 19, website says it takes about 10-14 business days to get them, no big deal. 14 business days go by, no glasses so I contact them. First of all, getting to customer service is awful. They have a chatbot and getting to an actual person is really difficult. Finally get in touch with someone, they say a machine went down, they're behind on orders, they're expediting my order. That's fine, stuff happens. Two more weeks go by, they're still working on the order. The rep I've been talking to said I'd get an update the end of last week, no update. Their order tracker now only says it doesn't work because of technical difficulties. I try to post a review on their website to get more attention from customer service, my review was taken down. Will I ever get my glasses?Edit: I just heard from them, the glasses should be ready in a few days, but they reiterated that glasses take 10-14 business days to process. What they don't tell you is that take 3-4 weeks to begin production.

Sad that a "premium" brand no longer supports replacement parts for its proprietary parts, forcing me to trash my sunglasses. I will not be buying another pair.

Sadly, Smith has been sold to an Italian firm, who know longer holds the level of client relations, or product support Smith was once known for. What used to be world-class optics produced in Clearfield, the last few pairs of sunglasses have failed to provide the years of daily use I was once accustom to. If I ever needed service or a replacement nose pad, I simply called Smith and a new part was sent out pronto. Now, customer care seems to question the need to provide the level of care one would expect from the Smith of days past. They have closed the prescription facility in Idaho and no longer provide RX lenses for most of the frames they once supported.

This place thinks they're top quality. Nope. Listen to all the negative reviews. There's a reason this place has 3 stars and going down. Don't bother with this company at all.

I can't believe company that builds parts from China and manufacturers them from USA turns around and sells those products for over $200 and says they are MADE IN USA.on top of that,, they can't pay their employees a LIVEABLE WAGE!!You have the ability to pay your employees more especially with how much your charging for those glasses. Get out of here.

Bought something on their German website and the Tracking is stuck since 10 days at "Will be picked up shortly". They do not respond to emails. I suggest to avoid their online shop.

Not necessarily for this store, but for Smith Optics in general. I called the number listed here and it was answered by Lauren out of Aurora, CO. I asked if there was a way I could buy a replacement "Vaporfit" head strap for my Smith Venture bike helmet. She told me that they just replace those for free and that they would get it sent off immediately. After 5 minutes on the phone, I have an order number and a new headset on the way. That is awesome customer service. Thanks, Lauren!
