Jake at Mountain Transmission is great! Very easy to talk to and keeps you updated and informed throughout the diagnoses/repair process. Transmission repairs are always expensive, but Jake helps you understand all your options.
My vehicle even had an issue come up after the repair due to a faulty part, and Jake was quick to repair it under warranty.

Summery: Shop work performed was fine, but the office/customer facing side could use some improvement.
I was recently traveling through Brigham City and had my CEL come on, after getting the codes read at O'Reilly's and pulling a few transmission codes, I drove the car over to Mountain Transmission. They told me they were super busy but would get the car in as soon as possible, no biggie, I understand. I leave the car and have a family member nearby pick us up.
A few days later I get a call that my car is done, they replaced the value body on the transmission. Cool. It's a tad under the quoted price, even better. I live in Logan so I jump in the car with my wife and kid and we start heading to pick it up. About 20 minutes later, I get another call saying they mixed up cars and mine isn't even started yet. Bummer, but alright, I can wait a few more days.
Monday I get a call, my car is finished. But they think it has an alternator issue too, or maybe a battery issue, they're not sure which exactly and recommend replacing both. The battery light is on, that's all they say. I would rather not waste money replacing both, if it's just one or the other. I ask if they've tested the alternator with a voltmeter (pretty easy/standard test). Nope. They just want to replace both. It'll be another $700.
I decide I'd rather just pick up my car and replace the alternator or battery myself as both are super easy repairs and I can run the simple tests and determine which is it without just tossing parts at it.
When I go to get the car, Shane was pretty grumpy about me picking it up without the alternator repair. Had me sign a waiver voiding any warranty on the trans work they did, was quite short and pretty rude with me throughout the transaction and picking up the car.
Picked the car up, drove it home (ran the tests and confirmed alternator not battery and replaced that part myself that evening). It's been a couple weeks, the car runs great and the transmission hasn't had any issues since. Overall, I'm happy with the work performed. Shop work was good, but office work/customer service work was definitely lacking. Between mixups, unwillingness to confirm issues/perform diagnostics, and then the attitude when I was picking up the vehicle. I dunno, I'd go elsewhere next time.

Love these guys. Got my transmission rebuild done through them and they worked out everything with me and was honest about estimates with stuff they seen and have been amazing. Even very fast to fix anything that came up after getting my truck out. I will always refer these guys. This is definitely the type of people I want working on my truck. Loyal costumer for life

I'm on 9000 miles long road trip. In the middle of it, my transmission failed and Jake same day ordered part and next day at Saturday 3:30AM he was in his shop and worked on my car. 7:30 car was done and he did excellent job. My car never shifted like this before. Thank you so much.
