The personal trainers here are the best. Beginner when I started but Kristine and Dallin got me up to speed really fast and without any injuries ?. Former collegiate athletes. You can tell those two know their clientele and methods.

This is the best kept secret in the north end of the county! A small but not too small private gym. There are personal trainers available that really know what they're doing. There's our physical therapists available and all do an amazing job.The staff are very willing to help and assist. It is very clean, with a lot of room to spread out and do your workout.

I'm an avid gym goer, experienced coach and business owner. i'm seeing a lot of emotional reviews coming in against the Training Room that seem pretty petty, highly biased and ridiculous, I had to share my experience as someone with a background in fitness, training, and owning my own company. I mention owning a company because I understand that complexities of hiring and working as a team.I only had an excellent experience with those that worked at the Training Room. After a few weeks they knew me by name. I was so impressed by how kind and considerate they were. When it was time to end my contract they were very kind, understanding and very helpful. The whole gym and bathrooms were always sooo clean! That's a big deal because a lot of box gyms just aren't.I have worked with fitness equipment companies and know a lot about equipment, the owners were always open to hear and have conversations about ways to make their gym better. They seemed pretty open to suggestions. The equipment they do have is well taken care of and quick to be fixed when there is an issue. If you want a nice, not overly crowded gym, this is a GREAT option.I've experienced a lot of gyms, The Training Room really is a great gym.

The amount of negative reviews coming in right now about the staff at The Training Room really saddens me. I just had my last day at this gym (due to moving out of state) and leaving this gym was easily the hardest part of moving out of Utah for me. From day one, every staff member works to remember your name, and greet you and sign you in before you even get to the front desk. The way the staff at this gym go above and beyond to make it a fun environment is everything. The staff, equipment, and lack of crowds has made this my best gym experience by far. Coming from someone who has been a member of different gyms all over California, Idaho, ans Utah, it’s refreshing to see this gym do the whole gym environment right. Will miss it!

Initially, I loved working out at The Training Room. The staff were super nice and the gym itself was nice as well. The classes taught by coaches and trainers who really care about the people they train are the reason I came to the gym in the first place. But the mistreatment of these coaches by gym management has driven them away. I’ve been part of a strongman class taught by Becca for two years now. Gym ownership pushed her away because they don’t know the value of the work that she does. I’m appalled at the lack of professionalism they’ve shown, and they should know that they are much worse off now without Becca coaching there.

2 starsPros:1. Evening childcare workers are wonderful, they made sure my son felt cared for.2. My class trainer made sure I was learning new movements correctly and would make sure to tweak the program for me so I could work through an injury and through pregnancy and come out stronger. First time going to a gym and feeling like I could actually be strong (all thanks to my class members support and our coach!)3. Front desk knew who we were and would always greet my family upon entering. Trainers always were friendly.Cons:1. Poor communication with staff on multiple occasions. Management didn’t communicate with staff on multiple occasions which leads to a few issues.2. When I first signed up I was met with staff who didn’t know what the pricing was and had no idea how to work their computer system. I had to call in a few times to get a direct answer on pricing for the gym (as it is not updated on their website or on Instagram), after getting pricing for my class membership and signing a waiver, I was told I had not signed the waiver, so I signed it again. Then a few days later I was told that I wasn’t signed up and had yet to sign the waiver- which I had twice at this point.3. We had been told they were moving everything to an app (check in, payments, childcare sign ups, etc) which we thought would be great and streamline everything. During this time we tried to sign my teenage brother up for 2 weeks of classes so he could train for a competition. We were told it was definitely doable, but when it came time for actually paying for it, we were told that they yet again were unsure of pricing because they were told that things were moving to an app and prices were changing but were not given those prices from management prior to management leaving on vacation. Staff seemed embarrassed to not know what the prices were but also were trying to work with us on getting him signed up.4. We had been told initially that my husband’s membership included childcare and we had been paying for it (or at least assumed we were) for over a year. In the last two weeks we were given a call telling us that we would have to pay an extra fee to continue using childcare because we weren’t signed up for it ever. Childcare knew who my kid was and had been scheduling him, so we felt blindsided by this. This along with some other things (including high pricing $160/month/person with technically no access to towel service or showers (according to our contract)) led us to conclude our time at the training room.We drove 30 minutes to and from the gym everyday because we respect our trainer and enjoy what they had to teach us. The moment our trainer left to a different gym we decided there wasn’t any more reason to stay and are following them to a new gym with higher hopes for staff and management.

I am going to try and keep this review as professional as I can so that anyone looking to join the gym can decide based on the facts of my personal experiences and observations. I was not asked to write this review by anyone, but I could not in good conscious leave without giving others the information they need to make a smart decision. The pros of the Training Room:- Large turf area- Even when it is busy it is pretty empty.- The staff are absolutely incredible.- The coaches that I spoke to and worked with were knowledgeable and professional.- The equipment is in good shape and working order.- The new manager has been awesome and has been working extremely hard to resolve the issues the gym has. He has been put in an extremely tough position and I do respect him for what he has had to deal with. The cons of the Training Room:- Holiday hours have been poorly communicated in the past (this has gotten somewhat better, but if you miss the sign on the front door, you are SOL)- The nice large ice baths that worked were removed and the new ones are not working. I hope they have been fixed because they do look nice.- The sports therapy they offer is not good. Their chiropractor refused to do chiropractic adjustments on me and instead wanted to do physical therapy exercises. I do not have a problem with being recommended other treatment methods, but the work he did on me and the exercises he provided did not help me. After two visits I gave up and decided to work with my coach and other professionals. YMMV but the sports therapy portion of your membership is not worth it in my opinion. I would not trust this individual with any of my friends of family for care.- The owners of the gym do not seem to have a united concept of what they want the future of the gym to be. When we first joined the gym (and brought a substantial amount of equipment with us that a lot of their other members and classes used) there were talks of building a field house, getting new equipment, and improving the recovery facilities. None of this has come close to happening after about a year and a half besides the above-mentioned ice baths.- There has been a mass exodus of the coaching staff which the owners refuse to do any self-reflection about and instead believe everyone else is the problem.- They won’t change your pricing if you are a signed-up member, but if you try and bring in a friend to work out with you good luck getting a straight answer on what a membership costs.- Rather than acting professional when members leave it appears the owners would rather spend their time typing snarky replies to their new honest reviews, blaming everyone except their own poor policy and business decisions. If you want a gym to work out alone or with a buddy where you will probably never have to worry about waiting for equipment, then this might be the place for you. In my option it is an expensive gym for what you are getting, but if you can afford it and it is worth it to you, then do it.If you are looking for a facility where you can work out with a team and a coach where you can create and keep a good culture, look elsewhere. This is not where you want to be.

Great gym with a tight knit community. Much pricier than big box gyms but includes spacious facilities, childcare, and a built in fitness community. Clean and well maintained with respectful and friendly staff.

I followed my strongman team here and it’s the best decision I have ever made! The environment is so positive and has made my entire fitness journey so incredible. Becca, our strongman coach, works hard to cultivate an environment that is both physically and emotionally safe. She cares for all of her athletes deeply and pushes them to be the best version of themselves possible. I’m grateful to have The Training Room and all of its staff and athletes, I couldn’t ask for a better second home and family! If you’re looking for an uplifting, positive, and safe environment to start or continue your fitness journey then look no further!

Training room has been the best gym. The staff there is incredible. I am also very grateful to have a coach like Becca. She’s very knowledgeable in the field and will fight along side you to reach your goals. She’s incredibly talented and has helped me achieve weights and lifts I didn’t think were possible. If you are debating on a gym, I highly highly recommend the training room. And I highly recommend Becca for a coach. You won’t find anyone better.

Really awesome gym! Equipment is great and kept in a working order. The people working out are really friendly and the staff is very helpful and welcoming. Really appreciate everyone who sits at the door and makes sure to remember your name it makes you feel very welcomed. Being a part of the strongman group has benefited my life in ways I never thought possible and it’s all thanks to Becca! 10/10 would recommend this gym and the strongman group to anyone.

I love this gym! Clean equipment, great staff and an amazing coach! Coach Rowley is the best coach I've ever had, weather it's her programming, support or care she is always taking my best interests at heart. I know I can always approach her with questions or concerns, and she will take the time to talk to me about it. Its extremely important to feel open and trust your coach and I know I can trust Becca 100% not to mention the incredible progress I've made since becoming her client! The Training Room has all the equipment and space I could ever need, and the cleanliness and attitude always has me excited to come back. They even have protein shakes and snacks that I are perfect before a workout. Definitely gonna be coming here for a long time!
