They gave my parents dog who they were bringing in because she was sick… and as any vet knows a dog is programmed to hide their sickness which is why blood work is key… but luckily they took blood work but then proceeded to give her a Rabies vaccination in the same visit without seeing results (and a dog with a minor heart condition as the vet describes below). The blood work showed a liver infection the next day and she died within 24 hours…. Need I say more? A vet that will give your babies a vaccination when they are sick or on antibiotics or not even wait at least until the results come back from the lab before giving a vaccine that wasn’t needed for another 3 months without waiting for lab results back is not a vet I would ever trust. I will never take my dogs here after what my parents went through today. My response to their response below is that I am certain that they would not have given her a Rabies vaccine if they waited just 24hrs (there is not an honest responsible vet in the world that would give your dog a rabies vaccine if they had a liver infection) And if they waited and saw her ALP levels were 7 times the upper safe range at 993…. Why do I say “liver infection” with such certainty… they literally wrote “Liver” and underlined it on that lab work.

The staff is very friendly, patient, and helpful. We switched here because they were willing to see us the same day for a small surgery for my dog. They were very throughout and showed genuine concern and care for my pet. They made follow-up calls and have always even available when we have needed them. Thank you, Intermountain Veternary Services!

We love our vet! Everyone on staff is kind, empathetic, and genuinely loves animals. Options and pricing for services are clearly explained. Great notes after each visit. We said goodbye to my sweet cat a few weeks ago, and they sent me a lovely card signed by everyone in the office. Great people, great care.

Great vet, compassionate & caring! He loves his own animals and takes pride in his work. We had a great experience and our dog was diagnosed and cared for. You won’t be disappointed with Dr Carr! He’s the best vet and worth the drive!

WE LOVE INTERMOUNTAIN VETERINARY SERVICES!!!! Dr Carr & all of his staff are amazing . They show our dog Bindi such tender loving care. She had a medical emergency that Dr.Carr fit her in for today and took so much time and care with her and with us after explaining everything and how we needed to proceed forward with the treatments for her arthritis. We have been coming to this clinic now for six years and we always feel we have a guardian angel watching out for our dog when she’s there and that is one of Dr. Carr’s vet tech Jordan, Who are dog Bindi just gravitates to and Jordan always watches out for her and he was so kind today as well to tell us he was there to watch her go under anesthesia. He watched her during and he was there with her when she came out of anesthesia and as a dog parent that is also so comforting to know that the vet techs love your animals just as much as the vet does. We are always recommending Dr. Carr’s office to friends and family and we would never take our dog any place else. Thank you again for all you did for Bindi today .

Dr. Carr, Dr. Winn, Dr. Lamb (previous vet and clinic owner) and the entire team at Intermountain Veterinary Services are the best vet team I've used over the 30+ years of owning dogs. I'm grateful for their great care and support with all of the dogs I've owned since moving to Alpine in 2007.

Dr Carr and his staff, have become our 2 pups care givers. They are the best in the valley. Dr. Carr has helped my pups with their health problems. They were rescues from a Apache reservation. They are nie healthy and happy. They love going to see Dr. Carr and his staff. Thank you Dr. Carr for your loving care. Gladys Bradley.

We have had nothing but positive experiences with Dr. Carr and his staff. We are new dog owners and they are always happy and willing to answer all or our questions and guide us with our concerns. Our dog gets a little nervous when visiting the clinic. Dr. Carr and his staff are very skilled with making him feel comfortable and reading his “doggie body language”. We do not live in Alpine and are happy to drive to receive exceptional care. Thank you Dr. Carr!

I have have several family pets that I have had Intermountain Veterinary Services take care of for me. I have been so impressd by the quality of there care as well as the genuine concern the employees have given me and my dogs. Doctor Carr is an amazing Doctor and I'm fortunate to have him take care of my "spoiled rotten Beagles"."spoiled Beagle!"." UPDATE "I have been taking my "Pit Beagle" in to Intermountain Veterinary to have all her wellness shots, tests, and to have her nails trimmed. I have never left Doctor Carr's office feeling that I received anything but quality care.I really appreciate the atmosphere in the office and I find that is a direct effect of how Dr. Carr wants his practice to operate on a daily basis. His desire to have great customer satisfaction does not go unnoticed he and his staff make sure their patients have a positive experience on all their visits.

I just back from a terrible experience with this vet. I called and got a quote for my dog to get spayed. She told me a price and I planned on that. When we arrived this morning , they said the price would be double what we were quoted and that it’s because she had gone through her heat cycle before. When I spoke to them to get a quote, they only mentioned it would be more if she was in heat. I was very mislead. I feel like since the old vet retired it has changed a lot. I decided to take my dog home and we’ll be finding a new vet.

Always can fit me in for my emergencies. I have had 2 surgeries on my pets and they went well, with great communication and after care. You can tell that the vets and vet techs love the animals that they work with.

After years of experience with dealing with faulty vets, super expensive pet hospitals, Etc. These guys changed my whole experience. My dog had a cut. They took him in, stitched him up, neutered him, clipped his nails, and make sure he was okay.Best part is, the price made so much sense. They have a drop off program, and you just leave your dog, they send you updates, and you come get him!

I’m trying to give a fair review. They’re all very nice, and they will treat your pet well. But when it comes to your pet having issues, I just feel like things aren’t explained that well. For example our pet had a bile acid test done, they treated him very well, but when it came time to get our results nothing was explained to us. We just got a very simple, “your pets score was this and now you have to get an ultrasound”. When I asked why and what that means I was just told that the score was “6 times higher than normal”. Still no explanation about what the score meant, what issues it could be indicative of, options for treatment etc. So we got the ultrasound and we were told that we would hear from the vet later about what was found. We did not hear back for a few days so I had to call the vet to find out (I believe the vet was on vacation, which is completely understandable). Again, no explanations, no details, no options. We were just told the results didn’t show anything and now we need a CT scan. It was frustrating for us to not have any options or explanations given to us.Overall I think the people here are super nice and will give your pet great care, and under normal circumstances I would 100% recommend. However if your pet is having issues and you want to have someone explain a little more about what is going on, what test results mean, etc, I would recommend going elsewhere.
