Great small town grocery store. Shop here instead of the Big Monopolistic HEB.

When you need groceries Lowes (Super S) is the closest store. Prices are a bit high, but the produce is pretty good. The butcher will make special orders and cuts. The staff is very friendly. Check their weekly ad in the Yorktown Newspaper.
PS: The Google link takes you to the Lowes Hardware Store. This is the family owned Lowes Grocery Store, not the place to buy lumber, etc. You have to drive to Victoria, Texas for that.

Prices are high and selection is limited. Have most of the essential items available.

They treat their customers well and I can get fresh vegetables as well as most of my other items there.

I personally did not see anything wrong with the store except their prices. They are expensive.More like convenience store expensive. I thought being a grocery store they would be a little cheaper but I was wrong.I may go back if I just need a couple of items but I do believe I will just keep driving to Cuero to the next time I actually need to do grocery shopping.

This is a small market in a tiny town far from any big city. There is not a huge variety here, but you can cook a lot with what you find. This not HEB, but they are still good. The staff is also some of the friendliest I've ever seen. I wish this store was near my house. I would shop here all the time if it was.

If you want highway robbery and expired stuff you've got the right place, or just drive to cuero. Otherwise its really the only grocery store till then. User beware if the price doesn't gouge you the expired food will. Not much shelf rotation.

Lowes grocery is the only grocery store in Yorktown the have NO curbside service, I have been exposed to Covid, i stood outside the store I didn't want to expose this virus to anyone so I asked if someone could please help me, All I asked for was for someone to bring me4 items I hand my mask and sanitizer one of the workers left like saying ok, so I waited outside, I was paying with my card, one of the workers was walking up and asked what was going on I told her the situation and she started being very ugly I told her I was exposed to covid-19 well she tried to treat me like I was dirty nasty, trying to tell me I had to leave ,I quickly told her we are staying more the 6 feet apart I have on my mask and I have sanitizer, she still was being ugly, maybe I was wrong but I didn't need to be treated in such an ugly manner people didn't ask for this sickness, when this virus first started I sewed masks and gave them away, I feel that THESE PEOPLE were very ugly and didn't care about how they made me feel, they said for me to leave, atleast I was honest and let them know,
