I frequent the nearest AutoZone store to my house, typically at night for quick purchases. Unfortunately, my recent experiences have been disappointing and frustrating.
I sent my step-sister to pick up some dielectric grease and turn signal bulbs for my Chevy Tahoe, which are common items. However, instead of assisting her efficiently, the employee asked irrelevant and bizarrely specific questions, such as the color of my vehicle’s grille. This had no bearing on the simple task at hand, especially since my vehicle’s grille is not factory standard. Due to these unnecessary questions, the employee incorrectly concluded that a hard-to-find part was needed, which wasn’t the case. I later found the correct part myself right on the shelf.
Additionally, I had asked for a small packet of dielectric grease, showing my step-sister a picture for reference. Instead, the employee handed her the largest size available, an unnecessary upsell for my needs. This kind of behavior is not just poor service; it’s taking advantage of customers who may not be as knowledgeable about car parts.
If you have the extra time, I strongly recommend visiting the AutoZone on SH78, which is about an eight-minute drive away. Their service and stock are significantly better. I’ve started going there to avoid the subpar service and uninformed employees at this location, particularly Chris.
This AutoZone store needs to improve its customer service and focus on genuinely assisting customers rather than complicating simple requests and upselling unnecessary items.

I visited the AutoZone around 9 p.m. to pick up a few basic items for a truck I recently acquired. I needed windshield wiper blades, a mirror, and valve caps—simple things that took me about five minutes to grab. When I went to check out, there was only one other customer in line.
Chris, the employee at the register, was engaged in a conversation with this customer about random topics. Although the customer was only picking up a few items, I ended up waiting around 10 minutes because Chris kept bringing up different subjects, prolonging the conversation unnecessarily. It was evident that I was standing there waiting, yet Chris made no effort to expedite the transaction.
This experience was particularly frustrating as it was during the last hour of their operation. I usually enjoy going to AutoZone later at night because it’s typically not busy, and I can quickly grab what I need. Chris’s behavior significantly hindered this convenience. I don’t usually encounter such issues at AutoZone, but this experience was disappointing.

Mike was super knowledgeable and was able to help me figure out my brake lights and taillights situation. And here I thought they were both the same. Some other place had me thinking I needed a fuse, turns out they were just bulbs and now I'm street legal again.

I needed a new battery and they were incredibly helpful. I did not feel taken advantage of like I have at some other places. I will definitely use them for all my future car needs!

I received the best service I could ask for. Dylan was so nice. He installed my light bulb and cleaned my electrical connections to the battery. I did not even ask. He volunteered to do it for me. What a nice gentleman.

I went in to have my car battery assessed. The technician tested my battery. It was found to be inadequate. He installed a new battery for me. Total time from when I arrived and departed was less tanb20 minutes. Spectacular!

Had same day delivery and the wrong part was delivered. The store offered no refund or assistance since they said a different company dropped it off. Won't trust this store again.

Super stressed about car problems today, I stopped by Autozone. Robert was the one helping me. He totally made my day! He knew exactly what was needed, He had everything under control. I felt relieved and the stress was gone. I left the location with everything fixed. Everyone in that store is really nice and helpful. I definitely recommend that store! Thank you Robert and team! You guys are amazing!

I purchased a set of windshield wiper blades for my daughter’s car and when I got home the insert did not fit. So, within 20 minutes I returned to the Murphy autozone to pick up some Duralast icons because I knew they fit.The store would not exchange the wiper blades for the new ones becuase I did not have the receipt with me - even though I used my phone number account and had credit card that I purchased the parts under.I purchased the one blade I absolutely needed and left the useless $60 worth of wiper blades sitting on the counter. counter guy just gave me a shrug.What this dude and his smug look and eating grin doesn't know is that the city of Murphy as a municipality will no longer be doing business at this store.

I am an Autozone guy and I mainly buy Autozone. I have no issues with other autopart companies, I've just enjoyed the service at all the Autozones I've been to.Their setup is the same at all establishments I've been to and it makes it easy for me to go in-and-out of their stores. I know exactly where to find items and then when I don't know, I ask and they help me quickly. ?It helps that almost every employees I encounter seem to love what they do and enjoy being there and are actually helpful. This one was no exception. The gentleman that helped me even imparted some great knowledge with excellent tips on how to replace my Fuel Pressure Sensor ??
