I absolutely love the staff here. They are so kind to my babies, 3 doggies. They don’t push things that I don’t feel are necessary, but they offer anything you might want to assure that they are healthy. We have really appreciated our experience there.

Long time client for five dogs that have dwindled to two,, all have been well treated and cared for by my two favorite vets Drs Robert and Ferguson. It is true you get what you pay for and the great support staff is a bonus.

South Bisque is very friendly, personal, most helpful and caring! They answer questions immediately or see to it that you get response from the right person! I have had two dogs with this clinic and I will have no other! I love my dog’s veterinarian, Dr Roberts and and sometimes Dr Sharp but when they are busy and I ‘ve seen another in quick need, everyone I’ve seen is very professional and skilled! They want your dog or pet to do well!
I had to put a dog down and couldn’t have had a better team member as Dr Sharp talked me through it, kind and considerate of my dog and me and very caring in helping me get through it!
The staff is quick to respond and you get to know them by name but most importantly, they get to know you and your pet and celebrate victories and successes and healings with you!

I would highly recommend SBVC! We’ve only been here a short time but have needed a couple of fairly big services with both our dogs having surgeries. Dr. Johnston is expert at his craft- his communication and commitment stand out and he’s top notch. One of our dogs needed a tumor removed in a tricky spot and his technique was experienced and skilled. All the staff have been so helpful and friendly and have responded timely to questions. We started with them during the pandemic when it seemed as though it was hard to get other veterinary clinics to even get us in—so they stand above the rest just for that! Exceptional service!

The whole Front Desk Team is attentive and friendly! They’re quick to answer the phone and help with any needs! Scheduling is a breeze and the vet techs are experienced and great with my older black lab! We see Dr. Robert and we love her! Appointments aren’t rushed and she answers all of our questions and concerns thoroughly. She is very knowledgeable and cost conscientious for pet parents! She’s a fellow lab owner so she treats my girl as one of her own! Great option for vet care, dare I say, the best in Waco?!?

I've taken my dogs here for years now. Staff is always super helpful and friendly. Our vet is very patient and informative, always taking time to answer my questions and explain all available options (including how much they'll likely cost). I've always appreciated that they'll make a recommendation that best for us even if it means not buying the more expensive option from the clinic. With that said, products I've gotten from the clinic have been great as well.
I've never used their boarding services but based on their customer service I'd likely recommendation them for that too.

Updated review: while at the vet, our dog ate a foreign object and threw up the night of surgery. The receptionist offered that it happens occasionally and we could bring her in for free observation. I expressed concern about the lack of supervision in case it were to happen again. Additionally, I called to ask about her getting dehydrated as she was refusing water for two days after surgery. The receptionist again offered observation and a free post op exam, but also said that she could be having trouble due to the immense pain I caused the dog by waiting to give pain medicine until the following morning after surgery. When I picked her up the evening before, the directions were not clear on when to start medication and it was after hours, so we waited until the morning to give meds to be safe. I called several times asking the same questions and receiving the same answers. After posting a review for one star, the vet called within fifteen minutes and gave more information by which time we had consulted other vets and were able to get our girl feeling a little better. Several days later, the clinic owner called to question my experience and review. Two different encounters over four days had asked me to remove or update my "unfair" review. Despite being constantly reminded that our Dahlia was their top priority, they mostly just explained how we were in the wrong and they were right and to change our review. At the end of the day, my dog is feeling better and I am grateful I finally got to speak with the vet. However, the whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth and we will not be returning.

All of my pets have gone here, and we’ve always thought they were amazing, but today they showed how truly amazing they are. today we lost one of our babies. I have never been so thankful to meet such a kind, considerate, and loving staff. Everyone from the front desk to the veterinarian treated my boy with nothing but love, not just today, but every checkup, dental cleaning, and sick visit. I’m forever thankful for the kindness and compassion that they gave us in one of the most vulnerable times.

We are so happy we found South Bosque years ago! Our little old man loves going even for office visits, but he especially gets excited when he sees his overnight bag come out. The staff is incredible!

Great first experience with this clinic and Dr. Zamzow! Everyone was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The clinic is amazingly clean and the lift table was really nice for our large dog versus a human having to pick him up. Kayak felt very comfortable there after settling in as they took their time getting to know him, too.
