They have everything “if they don’t have you don’t need it”. We bought a roll of sausage for the smoker and a house made rub.

If you're passing through the little town of Windhorst, you must pay a visit to the general store. It's like an old-fashioned hardware store but better. You'll never see a freezer full of German sausages at your local Ace Hardware! Nor will you find a wall of Wranglers and Levi's or veterinary products. This place even has its own line of jarred preserves, salsas, candied, and pickled items. You name it, they've pickled it - squash, garlic, Brussels sprouts, and, of course, German sauerkraut. If you're looking for breakfast or lunch, you'll surely find something tasty at the hot food counter. I had fun kicking around this Windhorst treasure as will you!

We stop for the sausage wrap and then end up shopping and buying a lot of other things. Best prices on everything from Twisted X boots to cattle wormer! Highly recommended this place.
