I love love love the Cedar Chest. The owners have always been friendly to me. I regularly buy Lampe Berger (sp?) here and love to browse the jewelry and clothes. It's a lovely store for finding a treat for yourself or an easy gift.

Earlier this week I went in Cedar Chest to exchange a purchase for a different size, realizing that I had also just locked my keys in my car. Sarah happily taped a display hook to a long stick, grabbed a step ladder, walked to my car with me, and grabbed my keys through the partially open window. She was pleasant and generous of her time. Six or seven shoppers poured in through the doors as we walked out together. I haven't shopped here (except for the day I purchased the return item) simply because the shop is not my typical style so I can't speak for the experience others have had. But from my one interaction with Sarah I can say she was genuinely kind.

My daughter arrived at 4:45 yesterday , there were people in the store shopping . They are suppose to close at 5:00, but when she got there , the man was locking up as she stood at the door. The owner contacted my daughter saying they have to control traffic at end of day but on her comment to her on the review, she stated they did not close early and she came after hours. This is totally innacurrate. She also told her the man had a long drive home. Well, when your business states they are open until 5:00, that’s when you should lock the doors. Not at 4:45 bc he has a long drive home. We are from out of town and she was going to come in quickly to look. The hours should be accurate and not close up early. Bad customer service to do this. I hardly ever leave reviews on places, but after saying she arrived after hours I felt the need.

This has been my favorite store in Wimberley for some years now. However, today they locked the doors right in my face. I understand locking the doors a few minutes early to close up. I was there early enough before closing and the worker let some people go out and i was about to walk in, then they pull the door shut and lock it. Worker looked at me right in the face and locked the door. No "sorry we shut the doors 20 minutes early" or anything. I might've been fine with the interaction had that been the case. Having a door shut on me and locked right as i'm about to walk in doesn't sit right with me. I've spent plenty of money here over the years but they will not be getting my business anymore.

The shop owner was the sweetest woman ever. It was over 105 degrees out when I lost my car, and she drove me around the parking areas until we found it. She was truly a life saver. Thank you so much. God bless.

Large assortment of merchandise, especially Consuela and Brighton. Didn't see much above size Large, in terms of women's clothing. The older man working there did not seem thrilled when I asked if I could put my empty cup into a trash can.

I have to agree with the other reviews. When I was there looking at Pandora jewelry and buying a chain some time back, the older brunette lady told me "these cost a lot of money." That was super rude, classist, and came out of nowhere. I understand the smug/superiority vibes. The younger folks I sometimes saw and checked me out at the were nothing but nice. I loved Wimberley, but I don't think I'll be going back here. Don't bother answering back. It's all just excuses.

Not only did I find the most comfy cute dress here, but the staff is so kind! This was the 1st shop my bf and I stopped at, we went to a few afterwards and had lunch. When we got to my car in the public parking area, my bf couldn't find my car keys. We look on the car door and the kind staff from Ceder Chest left a note saying they have my keys! Apparently they fell out of my bf's pocket while he was patiently sitting and waiting for me to try on clothes lol. They were considerate enough to walk all the way out to the parking area and figure out which car the keys belonged to. They are a life saver, I'll be stopping by again next time we're in town! ❤

Great shop in Wimberley. Clean, well organized, with a great selection on items for purchase. My daughter fell in love with a ring from here. She still wears it daily. Wimberley is a special place in Texas and this place adds to the specialness.

This clothing store has a ton of cute things to choose from! It will definitely keep you busy looking at everything. It is clean and organized and nicely decorated.
