This resort sets the standard for premium excellence with its impeccable hospitality and service. The ladies at the front desk are truly exceptional, making our stay unforgettable. In all my years of travel, I've never experienced such exceptional service – it far surpasses a mere five-star rating. My family, friends, and I were thoroughly impressed with every aspect of our stay, from the luxurious tents equipped with both AC and efficient heating systems to the overall ambiance of the resort.Nearby activities: The resort offers a plethora of outdoor activities such as hiking, walking, ziplining, and stunning river views. For those seeking a bit of urban excitement, the nearby towns of San Marcos and Wimberley offer fantastic options for bar hopping, just a few miles away. Its excellent location provides the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation.Safety: Totally secured, no doubt about it.

Loved the experience, location, activities and atmosphere. The tents were amazing and our first night of the trip host Betty was absolutely delightful and accomodating to us. However we went on the trip for my birthday and the chef was out sick, so instead of the multiple course dinner and birthday cake - we had to go in town to a restaurant. There wasn't any type of discount or apology for the chef being out and the on-site team being unable to make the cuisine throughout the trip that was expected.

My husband and I planned an intentional micro wedding at the Collective; and we wish we could relive the day over and over.We hosted 20 of our closest friends and family onsite for a weekend of glamping together. The common spaces and tents are beautifully curated and created such a wonderful atmosphere for our wedding.Stunning venue aside, where Collective hits the mark is their EXCEPTIONAL service and employees. The employees were so welcoming and attentive to all of our needs. When hosting a micro wedding it’s so important to have vendors/people who understand your intention, have great service and bring an overall positive and calming energy. Matt/Chelsea/Heather/Clay/Sable/Josh and team had such a warm impact on our day and we cannot thank them enough. They were professional, thoughtful and amazing hosts.

Everything about this property was well thought out, up kept, and immaculate. As a multi family property manager, I pay attention to all the details. Faculties we’re gorgeous. Property was insanely beautiful. Even how they trimmed the landscaping is so well thought out. Do yourself a favor and take your partner and or family on a weekend trip or longer to Collective Hill Country. My husband and I just celebrated our 11th anniversary there for a weekend. I cannot express how impressed my husband was with the safari tent and everything else. Being outside and still being as comfortable as you are in your own home is a feeling like no other. The tent views over the hills with the fog in the morning with our French press coffee was my favorite part. We love being away from everyone and in nature, so this was more than perfect for us. The views throughout the property are impeccable as well. Great place to reconnect or connect further and makes you realize how important time together truly is. Highly recommend!

Y’all! I took a little trip out here on my own for a little R&R. And if I could give this place more stars, I would. It is PERF. The tent was amazing and so comfortable . It was barely even camping it was so luxurious . And the staff! Oh man. These people are so kind and so attentive. I didn’t make it to breakfast and Jen my concierge texted me to ask if I’d like her to bring me some fresh fruit or some Greek yogurt . This is the dream y’all. Book it NOW! You will not regret it !

Outstanding facilities and service. I cannot recommend this place enough. My family of four had an excellent time in November 2023. We stayed in a family tent, which was perfect. We cannot wait to return.

This was our first "glamping" experience and wow, was it impressive. Everything from their communication leading up to the stay to the stay itself was fantastic. The photos do not do the tents justice. These are first-class accommodations with every amenity that you could want or need. It was cold during our stay but with the combination of the fireplace and heater, we never felt cold at all. The site is stunning, and their staff are responsive and wonderful. I highly recommend a stay here.

We really enjoyed our stay but for almost $600 a night, I think we were expecting more glam, a little less camping. The staff was exceptional. Getting there in the dark would've been awful, glad we went up early just to find it. The room was nice but not $600 nice.. I'd expect to pay closer to $150-200. Lots of bugs in the bathroom. The view from our tent wasn't great (just the road and side of a hill, definitely not like what's advertised). Not sure how the views are from the other sites. They don't tell you how much the drinks are from the little bar area so expect to pay $18ish for two canned beverages.. a little steep there too. Would be nice to be able to bring your own drinks. The beds were comfy. But overall very peaceful, amazing staff, relaxing time. Probably won't return, hard to justify the price for a fancy tent and not much else.

Giving this place four stars because while it is overall very nice, I think not quite worth the price. It misses on the overall premium experience they’re trying to deliver.Came here with my husband for a Valentine’s Day weekend. What we really liked: The tents themselves were extremely nice. Wood flooring, comfy seats, high end finishes and soaps in the bathroom, and a heated blanket in the beds. The staff was also extremely friendly. What missed: The biggest miss was the food service. They advertise a great breakfast but at present it’s really just some mini pastries, yogurt, and peel it yourself hard boiled eggs (nothing warm). The coffee was burned. For dinner, they no longer have their chef’s tasting so we tried their BBQ box. While the idea is nice, it was not worth the $130 price tag. The pork was tough, the pasta salad had way too much mayo, and even following their detailed instructions, we ended up with some items overly charred and others not quite hot. A couple other misses - they advertise fiber optic WiFi yet I couldn’t stream a show. We tried to order tea at the bar one night and the person working there said they didn’t have any which seemed surprising given they had tea in the rooms (felt like they could’ve just gotten some from their stockroom).Again overall the place is nice but if you’re going to position yourself as a premium place/price point, you’ve gotta deliver an excellent experience and I don’t think they’re quite there.

Chef Alex had an exquisite selection in his chefs tasting dinner. From veggies and ending with meat, all ingredients sourced locally within a mile radius - it was unbelievable. The accommodations were also top notch and the service is very attentive. Relaxing, professional, and a beautiful spot for a quick get away or family trip.

The Collective in Wimberly is in a great setting. The tents are very comfortable (They have heating/cooling and their own bathrooms) so truly glamping. The staff is very nice and attentive as well. With all that being said I would say that it is not a place I would return unless they modify their business model. We recently went on a quick weekend getaway during a holiday with friends. As soon as we booked online the concierge reached out and let us know what activities were available and that there was a special menu for the holiday dinner. The dinner we had the first night was the BBQ Box. What they don't make clear is that you are supposed to cook it yourself - we made the best of it and enjoyed but for the experience/price it would have been nice to know in advance especially if someone is not familiar with how to cook on charcoal. The next day we decided to take part in the bubbles and branding . The event is fun but as we were given prosecco we were told that only 2 glasses were included in the charge, if we wanted more we would pay $15 per glass. I understand that if someone is to be a heavy drinker it could be an issue for a run of the mill prosecco but it was very cheesy to add in an additional glass would be charged separately. The same thing happened at dinner when we agreed to give the special holiday menu a try at (185pp not including drinks). What was offensive after agreeing to this for everyone was the chef coming by the table and "offering" truffle or cured /dried eggs on the pasta dish for another $40. If your guests can afford 185 per person with no drinks it is in very poor taste to try and upsell them at the table. The last example which I have to share is at breakfast. They have a limited menu and your resort fee is supposed to cover breakfast. When we asked for a fried egg for the avocado toast we were told there would be an additional charge of $3 for the egg. I found this whole aspect of upselling incredibly classless and tasteless. I understand that this is glamorous camping but if they are going to charge the rates for the glamour part of the experience then the user experience should match that.

This is glamping at its finest. The furniture, decor and overall ambiance couldn’t of been more ideal. As much as I loved the place, I loved the staff even more. They consistently went above and beyond. By far the best glamping vacation ever!
