The manager needs to go, she's rude and hateful. Never see her do anything except take her time getting to the registry. She's always standing around or outside smoking ,asking black delivery guys for dates. They reject her though. Store stays clutter up because no one does any stocking. Always have to move gondolas out of the way. Prices don't get changed so you don't know exactly how much you are actually paying.

Seems as though Dollar general is really having issues with keeping the store with employees and I think that this location is needing an extra representative for working with the stocking and the customer service. It is really amazing that you have a store with sales at a high in the area. I'm sure that this location has a lot of loss prevention and I think with the right management and mindset of being the Best person to represent the store. That this location would be even more comfortable with shopping and then having stock out and cleaning the store ?. I really hope that dollar general will test it out and get data and then the Loss prevention going down.

I choose the Dollar General over the Family Dollar anytime cause they have a better, wider selection of items I like and have a better selection of $1 items to choose from!!

If the store manager Teresa wants to sleep with you, she will band your wife from the store. If Teresa thinks her employee likes the same man she likes, she fires the employee. She involves her personal life with her job. Just look at the store. She is so worried about herself and who she wants to sleep with that she forgot to take care of the store. Horrible Manager.

Always closed in the morning till 2 or 3. This is ridiculous. Hire more employees if you don't have time to stock and run the register.

During this most recent winter ice storm, the workers and store met the needs of the people in and around Duck Cove. A huge shout out to you gals for working and keeping this store open for those that couldn't get over the bridges/into town. The store took a 'beating' with all the customers and hopefully your home office or district managers will show their appreciation beyond your paychecks. Again, thank you ladies for your customer service, smile and work ethic during this hectic past three days.

Staff at this location aren't very friendly or helpful when you ask for help. Cashiers never at register, I've always have had to wait on cashier to return to register to be checked out.

This is a nice little store, good for groceries and other household items. It smells clean too, which is a stark contrast to the "grocery" gas station next door - definitely come here instead! Milk, fresh produce, meats, frozen items, greeting cards, toiletries, etc. Plenty of good choices.

This store seems to be in a good location and the store seems to be kept fairly clean THE PROBLEM IS NONE OF THIS MATTER WHEN THE EMPLOYEES THAT WORK ATBTHIS LOCATION ARE EXTREMELY RUDE. They seem irritated if you ask where an item can be found and a nice lady walked in and ask where the restroom was and the 2 employees laughed as they told her there wasn't one. Then added at least not for you there isn't and they continued to smirk as the disappointed customer walked away.all public stores should offer public restrooms it just doesn't make since not have a restroom if your serious about offering good service to anyone!

When I moved to the area seven years ago, I started trading at the Family Dollar just down the road because this Dollar General just seemed a bit gloomy and cramped, but I've recently began doing my quick-shopping at Dollar Genral and while the staff isn't especially cordial and the store is still drab and claustrophotic, the selection and freshness of goods on offer is miles above the Family Dollar store.For example, after shopping Family Dollar, I just assumed that Tastykake products left the factory stale and tasteless, but I took ao chance on a box of filled cupcakes today and wow! Moist & fresh with a lovely creme filling! I'll definitely try another Tastykake product next time I'm in the store.They stock an amazingly wide variety of products, most of them name brand. Need a carton of beef stock? They have it. Run out of cumin? Check their nice selection of spices. Jonesing for a carton of Blue Bell? They stock a few flavors (vanilla and chocolate for sure) and not just in those miserable little pint cartons but big, glorious half-gallon cartons.The only reason I'm reserving that fifth star is because I really don't enjoy dealing with glum, indifferent staffers and so far, the store really hasn't seemed especially welcoming. If that changes, I'll upgrade my rating but I intend to keep shopping theire either way.
