This place ripped us off! $45 for a bag of old catfish chum and 4 glow sticks! His card reader doesn't work and asked for our card to use behind the register? Pretty sure he's scamming people's cards. There are no prices on anything and he doesn't give receipts? This guy needs to be watched. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!

Very expensive. It is double the price of Academy or Walmart. Shame because it has a great selection. When I go fishing I don’t want to spend 60 dollars at a tackle store. Need to lower prices.

Extremely overpriced. Bought 4 dz minnows and some were dead within 15 mins before we got them back to camp and out of the bags and the rest died very quickly after that.

Drove two hours to the place after checking store hours. Sign outside says was open. Called because people were inside. The answer was we are closed today and hangs up. I would pick elsewhere to go.

I'd give only one star but the owner seemed friendly enough. Nothing has prices, I wasn't told a total before he ran my card. Asked for the receipt and it was $18.We got two small containers of red worms. I would have rather taken 10 more minutes to drive to Academy or Walmart to get the same worms for less than half that price. Very disappointed, had I known each tub was $9 before my card was run, I wouldn't have purchased. Lesson learned, the shop had a big selection but no prices on anything so I guess they can charge whatever they feel like. Will not be returning sadly.

New to the Houston Area, Called Felicia. she was nice, very friendly and great to meet! these guys will take care of you. I bought live shiners, ive had them for 4-5 days and the continue to be strong and healthy. the below reviews are not true regarding the live bait. you have to take care of them with an air stone in order to keep them alive. WILL BE RETURNING,Felicia , if youre reading thank you !

Stay away from this place. Bought live minnows, frozen shad, some worms, few weights and 2 packs of hooks. Along with a bucket to put the minnows in. Didn’t think it would be much over $20-25. Checked my bank account and Bennie’s charged me $70. Never got a receipt, so I don’t even know what was priced so expensively.

If you’re in the market for hilariously overpriced and woefully undersized, sickly live bait look no further. I bought 3 dozen of these high-priced minnows yesterday and a full third of them didn’t make the drive back to Stubblefield, even in a tank with an aerator. A handful more were too small for even my smallest panfish hooks and got a reprieve to go into the lake for another day. Total waste of $15.

I bought two packs of yum fingers, a pack of bandito bugs, a pack of weights, and a pack of hooks. I buy this all the time and it is usually 20 dollars at walmart. I paid 51 dollars for it. Way overpriced. I do not recommend going here. My grandma also bought a box of worms and it looked like someone took a shovel in the backyard and dug them up. It only had two and a half worms in it.Walmart does sale soft googan baits and how are your items different from Walmarts. They aren't you just charged way to much for them. I guess that's why you dont put the prices on them. I

Do not buy minnows here. We bought 9 dozens to take my grandson and some of his friends fishing, they were all dead the next day .Would not recommend this place .

I love this place. Owners are so nice. Great place to stop and grab bait, ice, snacks and drinks before heading to lake. They are a local small business so stop by and check them out.
