“I can't compliment the Chamber enough. Every time I have gone to them for assistance the staff have been extremely helpful. They were able to provide me with the data I was seeking and when I went searching for pictures of the city Katie Britt responded to my request quicker than any person had a right to expect. We are fortunate to have such a wonderful Chamber for Wichita Falls.”

“I've been riding the HH100 for over 30 years and always enjoy coming back to WF for the festivities. This was my first year back since covid and it was great to ride with extended family. We took it easy and did the 25-mile ride on Saturday, which is very gentle with a couple of rest stops and about three very easy inclines. When we finished, the temps were only in the low to mid 90s, which was great (it ended up reaching 108 later in the day before a very random but needed rain around 4 pm). The race gets sporty when the 25-mi, 50-mi, and 100k riders converge just before arriving at Sheppard Air Force Base, which is always the highlight of the ride because of the planes on display and the Airman's Alley, where screaming airmen in their PT gear cheer on riders departing base.I've previously completed the 50-mile ride, and that is a great, flat course, but you will definitely feel the heat by the end! This was my first year completing the Saturday ride and the trail run on Sunday, which was my first trail run ever and a very fun, challenging course! The finish line of this year's ride (2023) was somewhat disappointing for a couple of reasons:As you approach the finish line, there are a couple of announcers, but riders couldn't hear anything that was being said. Only later, when we were waiting for a rider who had done the full 100 miles, did we realize they were congratulating riders and calling out the hometowns of most. My recommendation for the race directors would be to recruit a more lively local radio personality to do this and ensure the speaker volume is turned up high enough so riders can actually hear. This year, rather than finisher medals, riders received lapel pins. This was great for cutting down on costs and waste (and weight), but I completely missed the folks handing those out and went right past them since they weren't particularly noticeable.Lastly, there is (insufficient) bike parking at the finish and a big tent where a DJ ("Hatch Entertainment" this year) was blasting music. Instead of being directed towards finishing riders, the music speakers were primarily facing those seated under the tent, making it nearly impossible to carry on a conversation with the folks next to us. Most unfortunately, rather than playing upbeat popular songs that would appeal to and energize a diverse international crowd, this DJ alienated many riders with at least two songs that are currently making headlines for being politically charged, divisive, with extremist themes and rhetoric (neither is particularly catchy or a toe-tapper, either). What's more, when playing a reggae-style remake of a popular song, the DJ went so far as to don a blond dreadlock wig and bob his head to the rhythm--a very odd appropriation. These tunes and this behavior are not a good look for the City (which is NOT a small town) or HH100 to promote. I hope the organizers will opt to sever tires with this DJ and find someone who knows what an athletic crowd from all over the world (including north of Richmond and the Caribbean) would prefer to hear.A big thank you to the organizers, volunteers, massage therapists, law enforcement, medical, and military servicemembers who make this a wonderful event and make me proud of my hometown.”

“So glad people realize when a person falls because of debris and breaks their hip like my good friend did because the land lords would not fix her air conditioner or living space that they will help her so she will not die. As for me, I asked twice to be on this program but Gd saw to it I did not need them. I pray I never need them. May HaShem bless and protect the children and His servants us mortals down here always who do for others what we are able to that is good not evil.”

My group of guys had a great time and were super happy with everything they had to offer! With a business like this it's easy to keep coming back.”
