Ribs are really bones. These bones weigh a ton and you're charged by weight. Hence my description.

Do not miss this place - and if you are not near Houston, order from them online! Great BBQ - juicy, flavorful, and not overwhelmed by smoke. Side *almost* outshined the BBQ. Mac and cheese was super creamy and I may never say no to creamed corn again - at least here!In addition, they have a fantastic choice of sausages and pickles. And the CASE of jerky is a meat junkies dream - make sure to try the Bohemian Garlic (a fav!). Don't forget the banana pudding for dessert. I don't even like the stuff but would easily eat a gallon of it!Lane and Stephanie, the owners are often around, friendly, and the kind of folks you feel good supporting. They recently hired a new chef who is adding his spin to the menu - and I dare say the food is better than ever!So get yourselves to Texas - or online - and enjoy some BBQ and Jerky heaven!!

Junior's is not the same anymore. Always stop by either on the way to church in El Campo or on the way home to Richmond to get their kolaches. Kolaches are so dense and taste like you're eating a brick. Stopped by again on 6-12-22. Never again!

Drove in from Houston with Parents, food was ok, service was bad, Person who took order was very rude, my father is elderly and hard of hearing, the man taking our order had no patience, I was very upset at just how everyone that worked there seemed to not want to be working there....... will not be going back

Apparently the owner only cares about getting your money and not about customer satisfaction. Have spent 3000-5000 here over the last couple years for deer processing. This year got some product back that was almost inedible. Have spent months trying to get ahold of the owner because the manager will do nothing to help. No response. Went in person to try and speak to someone, no luck, I left another message for owner and the employee working even told me " I'll take the message, but he's not going to call you" . Used to be one of the best. Now I guess it's all about money.

This place is a real find! I bit into the ribs and couldn't believe how good they were the bark on the ribs is perfect, and the brisket is outstanding. I'm glad to be posting as I eat because I don't want this experience to end. They do a great coleslaw and the Mac and cheese has a smokiness to it that really hits the spot. I just moved to Wharton this month, and I'm so glad I live only ten minutes from here. I'll be back!!

This is a must stop if you are traveling thru the area. I stop here every time I go to Houston. The kids love the jerky and the food is great. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. This is a great local, family owned business. And the owner was a pretty good football player for the Javelinas too, but he's old now!

Poor Juniors! This used to be one of my family's favorite stops on our way to the deer lease. If you would have asked me a year ago I would have said, "hands down the best! Make sure you stop there and get a pulled pork sandwich or a slice of pie". Now it's a different story. They no longer carry their famous pulled pork sandwich, their food options are limited and their hours are sporadic and not as posted. If you have a choice skip them all together and go to a place reliable either Praseks or Bucees.

First time to eat at Juniors. So happy we accidentally found this gem. I had the half chicken and potato salad. The chicken was fall off the bone tender, juicy and tasted excellent. The potato salad was the best I have ever eaten. My husband had the rib plate with beans and cole slaw. Ribs were so tender and delicious, excellent beans and cole slaw. We will be back as often as possible.

I stop every time I drive Hwy 59. Excellent beef and sausage in plates or sandwiches. Meats are all available packaged as well. Pie's and bread's are fresh and delicious. Good coffee and friendly people. After years of stopping by here, it was as good or better today as ever.

Ribs had a nice chew to them. Unsauced they had good flavor on their own but were served a little under temperature. Beans were undercooked and under temp as well which was sad. Potato salad was a little sauce heavy and with few potatoes in it. Maybe it was because it was half an hour to closing time and they were looking to get home but it was just average for me.

Owner of this place has kept this wonderful store my "stop" every time I drive through to South Texas!!!! I have always seen great customer service (actually one memory is of two people who worked as team to get everyone helped!). EXCEPT for today - WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! I was embarrassed for the owner who hired "Chelsea" as manager. She was obnoxious- kept talking to two teen employees (maybe one was in her 20's" but rude- rude- rudeFunny thing: I asked her, who is your manager? She said "I am"- yikes. Dead end. She shrugged her shoulders to me twice when I tried explaining that I waited for service while she chatted like a little kid, and even then she was rude afterwards. Hope owner reads this, looks at his cameras, and sees what I'm talking about.!Jerky is so good! Stop and buy but stay away from Chelsea.
