Useless. Don’t bother using this joke of a company. Their mismanagement of personnel cause my insurance to lapse and they couldn’t care less. My agent left the company and they didn’t feel any need to inform me. I had to find out who the new guy was on my own and he has never returned my calls. I tried to get them to release themselves as the agents on my policy and every time they sent me documents to sign it was a cancellation document, not the change of agent document that the insurance company said they could manufacture. Run, don’t walk, and get as far away from these useless people as you can.

Stay away from this company because they will rip you off when you try to renew with them with higher rates! Auto insurance doubled on renewal from $185 to $360 and out homeowners went from $2800 to $8600. I have canceled them and tell everyone that I know to STAY AWAY!

Only after filing a BBB complaint due to Goosehead's poor quality of customer care and lack of response to an Allstate insurance request, was I contacted by Goosehead. An escalation supervisor contacted me and it has been a frustrating. unprofessional, time consuming aggravation due to Goosehead's lies and misinformation. These guys do not know what they are doing and make up stories as they go.They appear inept and dumb enough to not realize that when they send emails telling multiple versions of the mishandling and internal logistical screw ups and their admitted lack of Carrier knowledge that they create documentation verifying their lack customer care and lies. All Documented by their e-mails.How dumb or unprofessional is Goosehead? They offer excuses with no knowledge of what is required by my insurance carrier to enable a process to actually remedy the issue. They lied multiple times about the protocol and process to remedy an Insurance industry standard. Do not expect forthright, informed and expedited INSURANCE responses or needs from this Venture Capital firm that brokers insurance to raise capital. They allow their people to lie. UPDATE as of Aug 30 2024. I have now received 5 verifiable and documented inaccurate and different versions of misinformation.

We royally got screwed over by one of their agent. He KNEW our new construction had discrepancies with the zip code I.e. some listing had one zip code and another had a different one. I warned him and he said ; don’t worry you’ll be covered. When I realized our policy zip code didn’t match our deed, I contacted him and he dodged me for WEEKS. Giving me various excuses that he was swamped, that he would call me in an hour ect. I had to reach out to the corporate office , I had to have my realtor hound him until he finally called me back to tell me that now our insurance would go up 3 times !!! Bc it was the wrong zip code. He didn’t even apologize, send me a LINK to apply directly to progressive and a good luck. Now not only our insurance is up which makes our mortgage payment go up but we have an escrow shortage too. Direct actions of your agent is causing financial hardship and Goosehead couldn’t care less. I’m not even given a call back, I’m not even being reimbursed. We are looking into take actions currently regarding the matter.
Do your research, shop around. Stay aware.

We were sent a non renewal notice from the insurance company a month ahead of our expiration date. I had expected to receive a call from Goosehead to set up another insurance company at the end of the policy. We finally received a call 10 days after our homeowners and auto insurance policies expired to get us set with another company. We had already found our own insurance with another company. Every insurance agency is paid by the insurance company they represent so the only thing clients can expect is GOOD customer service. Goosehead failed completely in that department.
I do not recommend this agency. Most agencies understand how they limited and treats every customer as valuable. Every client deserves better treatment since customer service is the only thing they have to sell.

I have been with Goosehead for over 6-7 years, the agent I had was amazing, I was assigned an agent by the name of Grayson Edward's, I have called and left messages as well as emailed him, and no response. I will be looking for a better company that actually needs and wants customers, especially their business. What happened to excellent customer service that doesn't exist anymore, especially with Goosehead? Of course, the agent doesn't reach out to you when your policy is up for renewal. We had our car and home bundle, but when it was time for us to renew our auto policy, no one reached out to us, and it doubled. I went out on my own, and then Grayson tried to get us to bundle it with him, and I refused.

I’m disturbed by the Goosehead billing department. I couldn’t recommend using them.
Update - they replied to this review. I worked extensively with billing on my issue. They are slick to think their reply on here is helpful. They should know who I am and if they cared, they could easy reach out to me.

Par for the course with this office. If you are contemplating using this company/office for your insurance DONT! Incompetence does not begin to describe our experience with Tiffany Lindsey who reports to Bailey Zedik out of the Westlake property. We transfered several policies adding up to millions of dollars in real estate to her trusting that she knew what she was doing and it was a complete mess from beginning to end. She was great at communicating but had no clue what she was talking about, always had to refer to some "back office" instead of actually addressing our concerns and would, after saying that, dissapear for weeks or months. We canceled all policies with them and then found that we had a collection on our credit because she fraudulantly did not cancel a policy as requested and then promised to research it after the fact and never did.
BTW, follow up comment on 7-22..... The follow up that was promised in the response below by the "owner" was never received.. its a fake response meant to con the public into making them think this office takes accountability for their actions. They do not! RUN!

Got a quote for homeowners insurance and now they claim I opened insurance with them. They want to do a "Settlement" of $70 dollars and they never provided any coverage. My opinion they are professionals scammers. Never do business with them.

Absolute worst communication from a company. They put you on hold for fifteen minutes or longer while they check notes even when you tell them you are at work and the lady had the nerve to say we are working to. I am disgusted with their service. They placed my payment on the wrong account and now the current account is saying I will be cancelled. So I am waiting to work this out in limbo land. I just have no words of the stress they have caused me and truly they could care less. I would never recommend them as a third party insurance agency ever. I cant even get the customer service representative to escalate it as she has to get permission from a supervisor to do so and was not even allowed to talk to a supervisor. I am just mind blown.

7/1/24 Update: Still no update or communication from Goosehead
I've been with Goosehead for over 8 years and was very pleased, however lately things have been going sideways. My agent never follows up, never calls to shop around the policy or give me a heads up on important dates or issues. Non-existent, nothing other than a lack of communication.
I had an issue recently and the customer service rep told me my agent would call me back and never heard from him other than a 2 minute message from a pocket dial at an 11pm. Goosehead use to be really good and came highly recommended by my mortgage agent, now I can't count on them for anything.
Also they would always save me money on insurance, but now it's just policy renewals going up, up, up with no relief in sight. I'm guess I'll have to shop around with a more local insurance agent in my area and write this company off. Not worth the trouble and fees associated with their services.

Goosehead has got to be the worst auto insurance company I have ever delt with. I strongly recommend people stay clear. It would be too much typing to list out all the headaches dealing in just canceling the policy much less all other interactions. The cash grab, back door fees, and hoops you have to do just deal with them. You're better off going directly to the insurance companies they get you quotes from. Cut out this ridiculous 3rd party. I will never be back nor recommend.

If you want your agency to have competent customer service and basic follow-up, do NOT use Goosehead. If you're okay with the headache of errors, incompetence or untrained of agent support persons, and lack of follow-up, then maybe this is the agency for you.

A close associate of mine had the chance to work at Goosehead. Despite positive customer reviews, I want to address the treatment of employees there, particularly under the management of the service agents in the Westlake, Tx office. Service agents face unfair treatment, and with many complaints raised to HR and upper management, no action has been taken against a manager who has shown unfairness and lack or professionalism. She's known to remove employees she dislikes and favor her "friends" for desired roles, even obstructing those attempting to transition to other positions if she disapproves of them. Overall, this reflects poorly on Goosehead's employee treatment. I wouldn't recommend working there.
