The staff is top notch with many of them being there for decades so definitely use them as a resource for inquries about the city. “Best wedding hotel block!! Exceptional service from start to finish, Julia was so efficient, responsive, and accommodating, then Giselle followed her lead with a welcoming smile every visit, and bartender Cory, etc. Parking garage was accessible, just don’t keep any valuables in your cars bc we had a few car breakins that was independent of the hotel. Overall, thank you Aloft team!!”

“We had our room block here at Austin Marriott Downtown this past weekend for our wedding and it was BEYOND amazing! The staff was incredible, helpful, and so easy to work with! They were so accommodating and made sure everything was seamless and organized. Special shout out to JORDAN for being so helpful and organized at all times! We couldn't have done it without her. “This was our second visit to Park Lane Guest House and we just love this place! It's so relaxing and peaceful. The breakfasts are to die for! You couldn't ask for a better location. An easy walk to S. Congress and all the action but far enough away that you feel like you are in a completely different location. We will be back!”

“My Wife and I stayed at the Hampton this past weekend and was very impressed with the overall condition and the courteous of the staff, especially with Rose Brown-Weeder. She was absolutely great and so helpful. We had our Golden Retriever with us and you would had thought he was the most important creature in Austin. Shadow was treated like royalty and everyone knew him by first name. The Hampton will be my motel in Austin from now on.”

“100000/10 place. Couldn’t recommend enough! I booked this place in May for my sisters college graduation. Unfortunately, I had one of the worst travel days of my life that had me coming in for 12 hours later than what I was supposed to. Because of that, I probably spent 8 hours total at the place and they went above and beyond for me and my sister. They gave us free champagne because I was keeping them up to date on my travels, some cute lil goodies for us and a beautiful hand written note letting us know those things were on the house and they were so sorry about my travel day. AMAZING staff, excellent communication, beautiful hotel and really great location to go bop around. I will always stay at this hotel when I come to Austin!!! You guys are the best and should have a 5/5 on Google for how well you treat your guests. Thank you!!!”

“I came with some clients and had a bit of a wrinkle with the check-in staff due to an oversight on their end, however, I - and my clients - truly enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is lovely, easy to navigate, great restaurants and food options, room service was fantastic. I would love to stay here again. The location is perfect if you're doing things downtown/south Austin/ UT campus - anywhere really. It's right off I-35. Highly recommend!!”

Our recent stay at The Carpenter Hotel in Austin, Texas, was truly unforgettable, and much of that is thanks to the exceptional service provided by the staff, especially Joseph at the front desk.

From the moment we checked in, Joseph’s warmth and professionalism stood out. He greeted us with a friendly smile and immediately made us feel welcome. Throughout our stay, Joseph consistently went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Whether it was offering thoughtful suggestions for local attractions, promptly attending to our requests, or just checking in to see how our day was going, Joseph’s genuine care and attention to detail made a significant difference in our experience.

What impressed us most was Joseph’s ability to anticipate our needs before we even asked. It’s rare to encounter someone who is so attuned to guests’ needs and who can make you feel so valued and cared for. His deep knowledge of the hotel and the surrounding area was incredibly helpful, and his personalized recommendations really enhanced our visit to Austin.

In addition to Joseph, we also want to recognize Carole and James, who were equally wonderful. Carole’s insights into local spots were spot-on, and James was always there to assist with a friendly attitude. Together, they created an atmosphere that was warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating.

“Staying at the Proper in Austin Monday to Wednesday evening was very memorable. Honestly I didn’t want to leave!

Rooms: Clean and cozy- slept like a baby each night in perfectly temperature controlled comfort

Walkability: Easily walkable to all the best bars and restaurants and attractions of note in downtown area .

Food & drinks: Excellent! Excellent! Excellent!

Noteworthy details: Rooms and bathrooms details and overall decors were fabulous. Love the overall theme of the hotel.”

“Clean, close to the airport. Restaurant next door. Decent location but there is a homeless camp accross the road. Not a major issue for me. But good to know in case that affects your decision. Otherwise I think this spot is a 10/10 for me.”

“This was one of my favorite hotels I've stayed in! The location is perfect for dining and shopping at The Domain; do yourself a favor and walk to Perry's for dinner! The rooms were well appointed with everything you would need, including a Nespresso and little things like q-tips and a great makeup mirror. We treated ourselves to breakfast in bed and the waffle was delicious! The standard king room is a tad small but not uncomfortable.”

“I love great customer service. Everyone was so friendly. I really appreciate the front desk manager. He offered a personal postage stamp so I could send my post card to my loved one. I just find that going above and beyond for your guest, few and far between. Very enjoyable experience for our first trip to Austin.”

“First of all when you walk in the door The scent is amazing. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the overall hotel was breathtaking. This hotel is on some of the nicer places that I’ve been to and some Hyatt hotels and Hilton hotels could not hold a candle to this one. The breakfast was good and everyone is polite. I also love the blue water bottle That they give you when you asked for water. Aesthetics of the restaurant are fabulous not to mention the room detail. Can’t say enough about this place I just wanna go to AUSTIN just to stay at this hotel for any reason that I can. I have never said about a hotel, but I’m saying it now. Great job.”

“I booked this as a cheapish option. I didn't realize that my room had a living room and kitchen with 2 bedrooms and bathrooms. Would have been great had my family been with me.”

“Went to rooftop bar (IYKYK) for DJs and dancing at a private event. Was a fun chill rooftop, drinks were a little expensive but not terrible considering downtown Austin.

They do not take cash which is pretty annoying, loss of one star.

The 12 oz can of DosXX was Just under $9.
Friend had a tequila cucumber drink that's on their menu. It was just under $16.
Both of these are tipping 20%, after tip. However, you don't really have the option to do anything else based on the digital menu. I mean you could remove the tip, but it's rude.

It's a relatively classy joint up there, and people were well dressed for let's call it... Uptown. ? Although that could have been the event that we were at, rather than the venue.”
