110 W Brazos Ave, West Columbia“Needed a baby product that was on display but not on the shelf. The website showed it in stock... so I called the store as there was no one around to ask for help. Maria answered and came to the baby section to help. She was awesome and the 2 boys she got to load it for me were too! Thank you Maria!!”
“Store is always clean for the most part. On truck days it can be hard to get down the isles but that is to be expected. Great/low prices and they have whatever you need.”
“Been shopping at this HEB for 15 years or more now.
Always clean, friendly service, and they maintain the isles well.
My biggest complaint is that the meat prices on pork have fluxed a lot, even prior to covid you could never find boston butt or shoulder steak cuts under 2-3 bucks a pound when they used to be as cheap as chicken.
But that tends to just be the market, it is still the cheapest meat by far in the area.
They added sushi in the last year or so, the quality is quite good, just don't expect to buy any around closing time and for it to keep fresh for super long, the rice will not taste great the longer you wait.
Best part about this place though is the meal deals tend to be quite reasonable, and they have good salad kits they discount often.
HEB also in general has hands down the best store brand products of any other chain.
Their sausage, cereal, bread, frozen veggies, ect, all as good or better than most of the brand names, and much cheaper generally.
It is very easy to plan for meals by buying their frozen mixed veggies, stir fry, bell peppers and onions, and just use as much out of the bag as you need at a time.
I'm cooking for 2 and it usually goes for 2-4 meals a bag depending.
If you're into it as well, their store brand spam substitute (canned ham) is cheaper than spam, and tastes better IMO.
If I had one complaint it is that the oysters they put out in the meat section are often frozen solid, it kind of makes me nervous on the safety as I like raw oysters, and I wish some of the other customers in this town would have better cart etiquette.
You will often have traffic jams with a person putting their cart on one side of the isle, then standing in the other, some like to leave exactly not enough space to get by, I'd suggest avoiding busy hours for the best experience.”
