Nice museum in West Columbia. Lots of good history and local items well displayed. Finally got there during the open hours after passing it many times. Great museum chock full of history. Well worth the stop!

This is an excellent museum, with a very nicely curated collection. It is well organized and everything is labeled clearly with relevant facts. You will see many interesting artifacts, from household items to arrowheads to medical equipment to military items! Very complete collection.The staff was exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly! I was very happy Pat even went out of her way to show us the Rosenwald school behind the building and gave us a tour of it with tons of info. Highly recommended. A Texas treasure!

Nice little museum in this little town. It's not staffed by trained professionals, but by people who love their town. The museum is full of items from the town and surrounding area. West Columbia was the first capital of the republic of Texas. The little museum is great for a visit. Lots to learn about early small town Texas.

Fun little museum and well kept school house. So much history and information. The staff was so friendly and willing to give as much of a history lesson as we wanted! It's worth a visit!

Very nice visit, a lot of things to see. The lady that works there was very sweet and knowledgeable. Will defently go back.only undesirable thing was it wad hot inside but not miserable
