I absolutely love living here at The Lynx apartments. I can’t speak on other peoples experiences, but I have had no issues with the leasing office, management, or the property. Everyone has been nothing but kind and helpful to my many requests and services. They act promptly when I ask for help and the place overall is very beautiful.

We have been looking for apartment and saw this place and without second thought we signed a lease. Big shout out to Austin and Taylor R for assisting us. You guys are amazing
Coming from not luxury complex but maintenance people are the luxury, never had our work order been old than 2 days to get work done. This place been considered luxury, my expectations are high. Hope we will not be disappointed.

We lived at the lynx formerly known as Marquis at Clearlake for 4 years about. What once was a great complex years ago drastically changed and went downhill upon new management. From mold to water leaks getting “patched up” and then charged later for damages. When we moved out a few months ago we were told everything was paid for and our portal was closed so we were unable to make sure no extra charges were there. Be ready to be upcharged when moving out for EVERYTHING in secrecy!! I recently happen to check my spam folder in email and see a $1445 charge in cleaning and damages!! I paid my rent EVERY MONTH ON TIME and a loyal tenant for that many years to be charged like that. That dropped my credit 70 points because they couldn’t inform me in time!! Not once did I ever get a phone call about these charges and I have tried to call the last few days and even left a voicemail and no one has returned my call, they have it set to go to voicemail. I attached a picture for all the charges, I do not recommend this place anymore.

When we first moved in, everything was amazing! Unfortunately under new management, this place has turned into a hell hole. In the past few months, we have repeatedly put in service requests for a leak in the ceiling which caused the sheetrock to fall into our shower and mold to grow where it fell from. Instead of treating the mold or replacing the sheetrock, they PAINTED over the massive chunk missing from the ceiling. Essentially creating a seal for the water to cause damage in other places to the unit. The walls around the damage have become swollen and soft, and I can only hope the neighbors below aren’t dealing with the problem due to maintenance’s gross negligence. Since contacting the now horribly rude front office staff, we’ve put in 3 requests for the damage to be fixed. For the first of those three, their paint “solution” had peeled from the ceiling revealing mold yet again! They entered our apartment without notifying us, and marked our request as completed with “mold solution.” That solution? PAINT AGAIN. For the second request we stayed at the apartment in case they decided to enter without our approval again and we received a notification that the request was complete yet no one came to the door that day. On our 3rd service request, (complete with details of our frustration) maintenance came, looked at the damage and left, never to return or call again after promising to fix it. We were also notified by cell for the first time that day at 9 am maintenance would be coming to check in and when I said thank you, the very rude office lady hung up. The lynx has become a joke and their negligence is effecting not only our residents health, but potentially putting my newborns health at risk. Do not rent here.

Staff is SUPER unorganized and don't know what they're doing half the time. We weren't communicated with at all once we signed our lease or even before moving out. When we moved in we were scheduled to move in on a Saturday - we called Thursday to ask a random question and were told they FORGOT that we were moving in that day and said no one would be there because of a staff event elsewhere. When we did finally move in there were a lot of 'hiccups' with our appliances not being new like we were told, the apartment was NOT cleaned (they 'made up for it' by sending in a 'cleaning crew' that did literally nothing except sweep and mop after I already did), there were always problems with smoking smells running rampant (not cigarettes), parking was terrible and they had no sort of regulations to it - so you could have a party and have 10 different cars parked in front of the building for non residents and the actual residents had to buildings away to find the closest parking spot - its extra difficult when you are pregnant, its dark and you have things to carry and have to still endure the smells of smoking. When we moved out they had no instruction for anything on what we needed to do as far as when to turn in keys, what needs to be done and such (after calling for another question, they said that they were supposed to do a walkthrough with us prior to move out but had no intention of scheduling that with us or even mentioning it). Their ending lease term contract is super vague and can be manipulated by them depending on wording (which we had a long frustrating conversation about) but luckily the corporate manager who isn't on the property waived some of the things that we mentioned we were being wrongfully charged for. They do however have some fun little activities or events to partake in but not many people go because of how irritated we are with the experience we've already had with the office staff/lack of organization. Overall, it is a 'good-looking' place but is a total trainwreck/mess with little to no organizational structure or communication with residents.

Lots of leaks and mold in the apartment and if you want them to fix it, they charge you for the upgrades they were already going to do once you moved out. We also heard other leaks that they insisted were not real. New management is terrible and Kathy will straight up lie to you and say that you'll receive your entire deposit back during your walkthrough and then they keep the whole deposit anyway. If you want a terrible living experience where management finds a way to nickel and dime their residents, live here!

I’ve recently moved into the Lynx apartments in Webster City. After viewing several similar apartment complexes, the Lynx stood head above the others for the usual reasons, close to work, well designed and maintained, spacious, gym, pool etc. My place is spacious, good parking but above all the the property management. Austin Howard originally showed me the property and did a great job on the lease. Austin and Taylor did all the arrangements to get me situated. These two people in the front office are the reason I leased at the Lynx. They’re efficient, knowledgeable, professional but above all, friendly and welcoming. I’d hire either or both of them if I were in the property management business. Their manager, Cathy, is equally competent and helpful and supports her team - the hallmark of a good people manager. Thank you, Bryan Zetlen

Since United Apartment Group has take over this property, the service and maintenance of the amenities we pay for have completely disappeared.
The dog stations are never stocked and are falling apart. There are “doggie bombs” everywhere and it smells like it. If you have dogs, this is a major health concern. And if you don’t have dogs, this is a major health concern.
The water was turned off for months in the dog park! And now the dog wash is broken. So if you’re reading their list of amenities and the dog wash is a perk to you, not a single resident has been able to use it in 6 months.
The gym is not only filthy but they have not restocked sanitary wipes in months, regardless of me repeatedly asking. It’s getting disgusting.
They mark service requests as complete when they haven’t even looked at, let alone serviced what was requested. Like my dryer, because that could never be potentially hazardous, right?
Don’t even get me started on the gates or the weird crime rate that’s gone up. A ring doorbell is your friend here.
I LOVED living in this complex, I mean this sincerely. Used to recommend this place to anyone looking in the area, now I hesitate. As of late I find myself frustrated in my own home. Even after speaking with the office it seems like this is above their heads as most of these concerns are supposed to be regulated by their maintenance team. This place has potential if they could get all of their ducks in row, but as of now every week they are slipping further and further from the “luxury apartment” life style they advertise, be sure to keep that in mind before signing a “luxury apartment” lease. Really hoping that the property director can get this place back up to par before it all goes to hell in a handbasket.
And to further my point about marking service requests complete that have not been completed, adding a photo and example I just received via email while standing in the dog park. Lynx team, y’all need to do better.

My apartment itself wasn't bad and I didn't have any issues with the community except the usual occasional noisy neighbor and people not picking up after their animals that you get with apartment living in th e4 years we lived there. The new management however is awful and I'm glad to be gone.
Since taking over they increased rent and added fees including a fee to compile the fees and we got no added benefit in my opinion. The communication is terrible; I never receive a response to any email I ever sent in the portal. Including the one where I gave my notice to move out. After they left a paper on my door about renewal I went to the office and the response was "oh yeah, I meant to respond to that" and then the manager tried to argue we were within the 60 day notice. When I scheduled the move out walk through I was told they would be at the apartment our last day at 2. At 2:15 after waiting and no one showing up I went to the office and was told the lady called in sick. Someone else came and took pictures and I was told I would get an estimate in three days for possible damages as the usual lady wasn't there and he didn't know what to say. Three days later, instead of an estimate, I got a bill for over $600 because we used drywall anchors in the walls and those aren't part of normal wear and tear apparently. When we called they said the repairs were already done and this was a closed issue.
Overall, very disappointed with how management handled everything and wish the apartments were still the Marquis.

I have been living here for a few months now, and they have not disappointed. Great community, events, and clean property. Anytime I put in a maintenance request it is completed within two days. That is a win in my books!
