These guys were great! I had a multiple part move and they were efficient and willing to do whatever I needed to make it all happen. I have moved numerous times and this was one of the best. I highly recommend them if you are planning a move in your future.

This review is long overdue because life has been hectic, but it has to be said how mazing this company is:
I will highly recommend them to anyone. They were extremely communicative on the day the y moved me. I had multiple questions, as I had never paid for movers before, and Tim patiently answered every single one and kept me in the loop throughout the day. The movers were extremely kind and hard working. You never would have known they spent the day killing themselves in this heat with other moves because they had such great attitudes. They moved with quickness and care. Even when it came time to unload at my new place, where the top of the stairs is very narrow and cumbersome, they still had such great attitudes. The cherry on top of how amazing this company is, is the patience and professionalism at the time of my transaction. Until the following business day, we had not known my payment did not go through because their system had gone down. Upon trying to rerun the payment, we learned there was an unexpected issue with the card. When this happened, I would have expected Tim become become very upset and insist immediate payment, but that is not what happened. He worked with me and my CC company while they resolved the issue and payment was eventually processed. As embarrassed as I was and upset with my CC company, Tim never made me feel inferior. I will definitely be using Moving By Design for all my future moving needs... I'll just make sure my cc is working next time ;)

The movers themselves are competent, but the owner Tim dropped the ball for my recent move from Clear Lake to Summerwood.
1. Although Tim quoted a 3-men crew after his in-person estimate, only a 2-men crew showed up for the move, extending my move by several hours. I ended up paying hundreds of dollars more than the estimated cost.
2. The truck used for my move was too small, and the movers left my TV, computer, monitor, and a few packed boxes for me to move them in my tiny sedan. This is wrong considering that I paid $1700 to hire professional movers.
3. Although Tim quoted a few mattress bags, a TV box, and a box for my painting, the movers showed up with none of these supplies. My mattresses got dragged around unprotected, my painting and a few furniture pieces got stains that were impossible to remove.
4. Tim admitted all the errors occurred in my move, and promised a fair refund. However, when I followed up with him on the refund, he failed to return my calls and texts.

Moving by Design came through for us big time yesterday. With the potential of my in-laws house flooding again, I called Tim early in the morning and he sent a crew out in the afternoon to help with the big stuff. They were a huge help! They even helped move a few things at the neighbors house! We're going to have them come back in a few days (if they don't flood) to move everything back. You have no idea how big of a help the crew was. They kept a positive attitude the whole time and did whatever was needed. That's a huge relief in such a stressful situation! Thank you!

My Mother moved this weekend Saturday February 17, 2024. The 3 youngmen that moved her were very respectful, and professional. They told me their names, but I don't remember their names. I highly recommend Moving by Design you will not be disappointed. ✌️‼️

What was originally expected to be reasonable became very expensive at the end. The moving team did take care of the fragile items and worked quickly, however the boxes themselves added too much of a cost. You may think you only need 20, but end up using 50. Charging for boxes just seems silly. When I tried to express this concern to the owner, he seemed irritated with me. I had to rush to get extra funds I was not expecting on needing, just to satisfy him. Needless to say, I won’t use or recommend them in the future. Seems others had worst experiences than I did.

I was to be the recipient of a piano that was to be moved from Pearland to Alvin. About an hour after the piano was picked up, this moving company let my sister know that there was an accident, that some straps broke and the piano had fallen over and was damaged. This was especially hard to hear after the movers repeatedly assured my family that the additional insurance we were considering purchasing was unnecessary - we paid for the minimum insurance. We are still being charged for the move while they are holding our piano and literally gluing it back together (though we have said that we didn’t want any repairs performed by anyone other than a professional). We haven’t even been given the opportunity to file a claim with the insurance that we had on the piano, so it seems strange and out of line that they would do repairs to an instrument they know nothing about before we can file a claim. Obviously, this will not be the end of our struggle with Moving by Design, but I hope that this review can prevent this from happening to another family.

Used Moving by Design a few days ago to move from my apartment to storage unit. Movers arrived on time, and hustled to get the move done. They wrapped all of my furniture, and treated my belongings as if they were their own. So glad I decided to go with Moving by Design. Will use them again if needed!THANKS!

I recently had the pleasure of using Moving By Design for my long-distance move, and I cannot express enough how impressed I was with their service. From start to finish, they exceeded my expectations in every way possible. They didn't waste any time packing and loading and moving. They were very organized and the overall atmosphere with these guys was awesome. They were super nice and courteous. I highly recommend!!!!
