I had a double bypass surgery on 10/18. Every nurse, PA, NP, Tech, therapy that took care of me was amazing. The first day I was in such pain. They all took such good care of me and were considerate of my pain and were just amazing! In would never want to go through that again but thankful for the staff of HCA Clear Lake that made it bearable.

Every medical staff was kind,compassionate and knowledgeable making my husband stay pleasant although what he went through was hard I know his faith in God and prayers and excellent medical team at HCA Clear Lake Hospital helped with his recovery thank you for helping patients achieve this goal we appreciate all that you all do God Bless each and everyone of you.❤️❤️❤️

Stayed for 7 days was released still sick as I was when I arrived! Nursing staff and every one from aids and technicians were excellent. The doctors cardiologist, pulmonologist said there was nothing wrong with me! I was back to my pcp office 4 days after release still congested, sinus infection and could barely breathe. Very disappointed it took 7 days to tell me nothing they could do I would just have to learn how to deal with it.

The hospital represents the doctors and staff. They are always there to help whenever you need help or not. The hospital is a maze to me so when I look lost 90% of the time someone is there to make sure I am ok. Thanks for being open to all so far.

Check-in was perfect.
Pre-procedure preparation was perfect.
The wait between being prepared for the OR and actually being wheeled into the OR seemed longish (a little over 3 hours), which is why this is a four-star rather than a five-star rating.
Pre-procedure prep in the OR was perfect, and amazingly short.
Procedure was perfect, and amazingly short.
Post-procedure recovery, instructions, and check-out were perfect.
HCA: professional, efficient, and effective.

One start because no stars isn’t an option. My dad was in the hospital for a month. I feel it was because nobody seemed to know what was going on. He was forgotten about, was dirty - had feces on him & on his bed tray, his sheets. There’s a sign that said every day every patient gets a bath (or some such thing). Not once. Had a urinal on his breakfast table. He had to have a sitter because he fell. He had an arteriogram - the doctor did not come out to tell me what he found or what was done. One person said he had a stent, another said he just had a clean out. He fell because a brace was left on his leg for 4 days - it was supposed to be on for 6 hours. He fell because he didn’t know the brace was on. His legs were wrapped & were supposed to be changed daily, they were on for several days. Wound care was not done in a timely manner. I had to mark his wraps every time I was there to be sure they were changed, His sitter told me that there was 1 day that NOBODY came in during her 12 shift, no nurse came to check on him. We waited at least a week to have him released to a rehab facility, because PT notes were not sent. The clock that was supposed to be on the wall was in a drawer with no batteries. There were some helpful nurses that helped me get some answers. I would NOT recommend this hospital or at least Heart Tower 5.

I had 5 of my children delivered in this hospital and it has always been a good experience. The nurses were dedicated to their work and are passionate in making their patients feel comfortable. They even gave us a complimentary pizza and cake to celebrate the birth of our new baby. Thank you HCA for the excellent quality service. Keep it up.
