“They got me in fairly last minute when I had an emergency situation. The doctor was knowledgeable and personable. She gave me real information in regards to outcome, and chances for healing. She never tried to push me into hospitalization - because she didn't think it would make a huge difference in the outcome of my colt. I was very appreciative that I didn't feel like it was a money game and throwing unnecessary expenses at me. I'll definitely be back”

“2024: There's a reason I update my reviews of Dr. Rutherford's clinic. They're simply amazing! Always helpful & are usually willing to work with schedules. We drive from an hour away just to come here for professional (but warm) service, cuddles, treats & more than fair prices! Dr. Rutherford has seen 5 of my dogs over the years & I recommend her to my friends & family as well.
2021: We've been coming here for 3+ years & will continue to bring our pets to Dr. Rutherford for as long as we have any! She has saved my dog's lives on more than one occasion. Her & her staff stayed late, called to check on them, gave them extra pets while in her care & they even make sure that my aggressive dog is comfortable while there. Thank you, Bowie Drive Animal Hospital for making sure my dogs are healthy!
2017: We came here after another vet's office was a complete hassle! We needed to have my dog put down, she was in pain & we needed action fast!
The receptionist got us in within 30 minutes. The situation was a terrible one, but the staff were VERY professional about it! I was pleased with the service we got, everyone made it clear that it was a judgment free environment, that's what I liked about them.

“We take both our dogs here for their regular well visits and recently had a freak accident with one of our pups and they were able to get us in immediately and did surgery as soon as possible. We had a couple hiccups with her recovery (our fault not theirs) and they let us come right in to get situated and didn’t even charge another exam fee. “We found a stray a week ago and already have 3 dogs. We were so worried about adding to our vet bills. We found TCAP and wow, just wow!!! The prices are so affordable but beyond that, I couldn’t believe how efficient, professional and kind the staff was!! From Erin managing the front door and check-in process to the tech that gave the shots and to the doctor that chipped the dog. Everyone was so pleasant and helpful. Erin may have the toughest job of all managing the check-in process but she did it with grace and professionalism that I know I wouldn’t have had the patience to maintain!! It’s so nice to know there is this type of support for animals and people in need and it’s very evident that the staff there is passionate about animal care!!! Thank You, Thank You!!!! And our stray, Maya, who quickly became our foster and who may have just become part of our family thanks you too!!”

“Have been doing business with NTVH since they first opened their doors in Peaster, TX. I have never been anything other than completely satisfied with their professionalism, competent and caring attitude, and outstanding customer service. If they treated people, I would go to them rather than the VA.
Today, Dr. Hutchins and Vet Tech Grace arrived at the agreed upon time. They were here at my request to neuter two of our big, uncooperative male llamas, both of whom were not particularly keen on the idea of this whole neutering thing.
First big llama went quickly and easily, and he was surprisingly cooperative for the whole procedure.
Second big llama was not at all interested in cooperating. Finally got a rope on him, and he jerked all 250 lbs of me off my feet and started to drag me. Vet Tech Grace jumped right in on the rope and was instrumental in getting him under control.
Once we had him, the whole procedure went quickly and relatively easily.
Both llamas are still moderately annoyed with me.
Thanks again, NTVH, Dr. Hutchins, and Vet Tech Grace. Always a pleasure doing business with all of y'all.
