We've adopted two dachshund puppies from Select Dachshunds (4 years / 9 weeks) and they are the best dogs. They are so loving and have the funniest little personalities. Both of my experiences working with the breeders have been excellent, and the care and quality of their work really does shine through in the exceptionality of their puppies. I could not recommend them enough! Thanks so much :)

I am very happy with my experience at Select Dachshunds, where I found my beloved , Capri. Capri, who is actually TikTok famous as @caprithemini, has not only captured hearts online but all of ours with her stunning beauty and very sweet, loving personality.
She has been in excellent health. While she had a common issue which was roundworms, it was promptly addressed after her first vet visit , with just one round of very affordable medication. It was simple . Don't be alarmed, the vet informed me most puppies are born with roundworms.
One thing that sets Capri apart is her true Miniature Dachshund status. I've met Dachshunds from other breeders that were sold as minis but ended up much larger. Now that she’s 8 months, You can tell capri is a long-haired mini who fits the breed standard perfectly. Her size and appearance are exactly what I was hoping for, and she has exceeded my expectations in every way.
I couldn't be happier with Capri. She's not just a pet, she's a cherished member of our family. If you're looking for a Miniature Dachshund with health, beauty, and personality, I highly recommend Select Dachshunds ?.

Billy runs a quality operation here and the love of the dogs really shows. He and April made the process of reserving and then picking up our puppy so seamless. Billy thinks of everything when it comes to transferring the puppy home safely. His advice was so helpful and gave us great peace of mind that we'd made the right choice. Our puppy girl is just the sweetest thing. So smart, so well acclimated, so healthy. We're excited to see her grow. Who knows. Maybe we'll even come back to Billy for a second dog. Adopting a new puppy is a big investment and can be a bit stressful, especially with some of the shady stuff I saw while shopping on other sites. April and Billy are the real deal and do a great service for these dogs and for the pet lovers that are hoping for a wonderful companion. ETA pics of my pups a few years later. Happy and healthy!

Select Dachshunds are a fantastic mini Dachshund breeder. Our puppy is happy and healthy and absolutely perfect. They answered all of my questions quickly, gave us good advice for taking care of him at home, and gave us all documents we would need for registration and medical history.

We purchased our dachshund (Bentley at the time) in May of 2022. The process overall was easy, they were very responsive to all questions, and even met us halfway for pickup.
Our dachshund overall is healthy and we love him so much. He did develop Acanthosis nigricans which is a genetic disease, it’s only on his belly, and around his ears. But, it’s a very common disease in dachshunds and it isn’t harmful. It happens, I’m no geneticist so I can’t say that it was overlooked in their genetic testing. Dachshund are known for IVDD, it’s always a risk and something to think about long term.
As for temperament, he’s a dachshund! 99% of the time you CANT blame a breeder for a dog’s temperament. Any bad review about dogs being mean is a reflection of the owner. Socialize your dog, do your research on the breed, and ask yourself if the dog is right for you. They’re small dogs with a big personality. They like to bark, they’re notoriously hard to potty train, they’re independent, and if they’re not socialized they are aggressive. They’re not lap dogs, they’re hunting dogs, and they’re high energy. Our 10 pound dachshund plays very aggressively with our 45 pound blue heeler.

We got our puppy in July! She is such a precious little dog. Like the 3 dachshunds I’ve had before her- she loves to be involved in everything that we’re doing and would stay right next to us at all times if she could! We couldn’t be happier with her. Select dachshunds was very helpful through the process and we are grateful for our puppy. We will definitely be on the lookout for puppy #2 from select dachshunds.

I got a puppy from select dachshund mid December. You can tell instantly how well he was handled as a pup. I immediately took him to the vet and he got a clean bill of health!! Now, he is the silliest little guy I have ever had, ( no fault of anyone) he has no fear, and makes me laugh all day long! I’m glad to know I found such a good breeder when there are so many fake ones out there!

Had the best experience with Select Dachshunds. Both billy and Logan gave me updates/ pics of how my pup was doing, tips and recommendations for things to buy so I can be fully prepared for when Fiona was ready to pick up and I was really grateful as she was my first ever puppy. And not only that but I truly appreciate the time they took in making sure their puppies were healthy AND they were even potty trained! I literally had to do NOTHING! She already knew not to use the restroom in her playpen/ kennel and only on the puppy pads. Honestly great experience and they eased all my worries by answering any questions I had and always made themselves available. I would highly recommend them.

Purchased a beautiful puppy from Select Dachshunds. We are SO happy with her! It is very obvious they take time to love on their pups. Everything was seamless, even meeting us at DFW airport and giving clear instructions for the flight home to VT and care instructions for after we got home.THANK YOU to Billy, Marty, Jason (delivery) and anyone else who was involved. We appreciate it!!
