One star... because we stopped by in need of a couple of 12 Volt Gate batteries for a Waller customer that needed them, and the ACE owner or employee denied attending us because his cash register was closed at 6:10pm when the store hours posted on the door posted 6:30... we told him kindly to change hours on doors and he rudely told us to go home... super bad business and manners.. smh

I wish corpus christi still had an ace hardware like this place. They have everything you could want for soing stuff around the house, and stuff for other things tou are soing like going to the lake, boating, etc. The staff were all polite and friendly. My wife talked us into an electric nail gun and some other stuff that sure seemed priced well

Came in today for some hose repair kits and on the same aisle there was a sprinkler head that was at a very good price. I checked the item, name, and info with the tag and price. The price was $16 and some change but when I got to the checkout line the sprinkler head ran up $21.99. I told the man behind the counter about the error and didn't care. He said well it rang up $21.99. What kind of answer is that? The man should not be allowed to work in the customer service industry. If he hates his job he needs to go elsewhere.I'm a contractor and I'm in the customer service business and I would never treat someone the way I was treated by this clown. I could have gone to Home Depot or Lowe's since I was closer to them but I love shopping at ACE simply because they have what I need most of the time. This review is not a reflection of the other people who work there but a reflection. To the bold clown that checked me out today.

We were looking for a kiddie pool and they had it. So many stores were out being the end of summer. Bought it online and picked up in the store. Great place and friendly people !

5.3.23 I came here to get some paint stripper for removing enamel paint. (Terrible project...but I'll get it done) A nice gentlemen asked me if I needed any help the minute I walked in. He took me right over to the paint area. I found what I was looking for and then I started to looking area. Wow, this is a large Ace Hardware. It was very tidy and well stocked. They have a large selection of grills, eggs, Traeger supplies. They had a large selection of bird feeder. They are hanging so high you would need a ladder to reach them. They really should put the prices on the feeders so an employee does not have to get a ladder to find out the price. I might have bought one but did not want to go to that much trouble. I do like this hardware store. I will be back when I am on my next project.

Good prices on lumber. They are cheaper than Home Depot on most lumber. Have to call them for the prices, because the online prices for Ace are for branded lumber. They even load up your order.
