“On October 2nd and 3rd I was able to let go of the overwhelming emotions I felt when Dr. Burns offered for my Harley not to do as all dogs do, “Go to Heaven”. Dr. Burns compassion as a fellow veteran almost brought me to my knees when he offered a resolution to my need to put “Harley” to sleep only due to another individual in another state who had caused my handsome Labrador such trauma unknown at the time to me which took “Harley” back to the days before I rescued him from a “Lab Rescue” in the California Mojave Desert where he was found dumped as a young pup with just his bones shown through his skin. I am a US Veteran who was seeking to find relocation in the area and realized finding just temporary housing was so very difficult with not just my “Handsome Harley” but his sister “Beautiful Bailey”. My girl Bailey was also placed under the care of Dr. Burns who assured me repeatedly as only I needed both my service dogs who had rescued me repeatedly as I went through the horrendous side effects of self-tapering off the most lethal anti-anxiety drug named Clonazepam the USDVA Healthcare had prescribed for me negligently with only “Bailey and Harley” allowing me their protection as I literally prayed to God himself to stop the turmoil inside my mind self-tapering off a Class D Schedule 4 Black Box Warning Label drug. My “Bailey” was bought for $5.00 from what I found in San Ysidro, CA was a puppy mill. I still wonder today how such a little puppy could have so much dirt within her coat the day I brought her home and give her a bath. I must state Vice President Harris has been called upon by myself on more than one occasion when I have asked for her assistance as a 100% US Veteran in need of “Fair, Adequate, and Timely” healthcare and as I had always signed off “Your Veteran who “Happy Harley” and “Beautiful Bailey” still need rescuing from a broken system and I am still shocked today in how she stops her part of the world each and every time to help me in my part of the world. On the day I brought “Bailey” I was not only assured “Harley is happy and seemed to be dancing when he was allowed to go out an just play” but “Bailey is guaranteed the same rights as Harley received in placement within a loving family” I thank Dr. Burns for his wisdom and compassion he had in assisting me by personally guaranteeing my two beloved dogs would go to “Heaven on Earth” by his alone involvement in their individual placements in a caring loving family free from abuse by those who fail to understand what “DOG spelled backwards means… GOD”!”

2403 Texas Blvd, Texarkana“This place is amazing. The people are SO nice, so polite, so ready to help you. They seem to really care about your pet. Every time I’ve been here the waiting room has NOT been crammed full…there might be a few other patients in there, but never full to where there’s nowhere to sit. I’ve never had to wait an hour like at my last vet, usually 5-10 minutes is it. And they do little things to help you like cutting your dog’s meds in half if necessary, so you don’t have to do it yourself. Their doctors are super knowledgeable and kind, and they’re great about answering questions. And their prices are quite reasonable compared to a LOT of other places. I’ve had many pets since I was a very small child (I’m 48 now!)…ferrets, dogs, cats, house pigs, horses, birds, and anything else you could imagine, and I’ve been to a lot of vets. This one ranks right up there at the top!”

“Dr Gary Old at the Richmond Road Veterinary Clinic in Texarkana Texas is absolutely awesome! The entire staff was pleasant helpful and put us at ease immediately when we arrived with our dog for ACL surgery. We drove from Tyler on the recommendation of a good friend saying that Dr Old was a remarkable surgeon and a fantastic person as well.
We were there for the initial consultation as well as surgery. The consultation was very informative, with Dr Old answering all of our questions and informing us as to what to expect from the surgery. The entire staff could not have been any nicer.
After the surgery we were given follow-up information to take home as well as all of the medications we would need and instructions on how to take care of our dog. It was well worth driving 2 hours each way for the surgery and care of our dog. Not only were they caring and compassionate but their prices were dramatically less than those of clinics in the Dallas area. I'm sorry we can only give five stars because I would give 10+ if possible!
I totally recommend Dr Gary Old at the Richmond Road veterinary Clinic in Texarkana Texas for any of your pet needs, especially any surgery.”
“I was calling everywhere to get an appointment asap for a sick pup I just got. Thankfully they understood the situation & they were able to fit me in the same day.
At my appointment they were really caring & I liked how let me know prices before doing anything.”

And when my sweet elderly dog Ella got very sick a few weeks ago, they tried so hard to help her. We ended up having to put her down today to end her suffering, and Dr Shively and Amber were absolute angels. They made this absolutely horrible time for my family a little bit better. They really do care about the animals they care for and it shows.”
“Awesome people and so informative. I'm a new piggy parent and I learned about so many helpful things today. They don't have enough stars to give lol I highly recommend!!!”

6229 Mall Dr, Nash“I came in 03/09/24 and honestly didn’t know what to expect. My Baby girl needed to see a vet ASAP for her condition. They didn’t except walk-ins but when I asked the young women at the front if they could help me, she not only did just that but answered my questions and eased my concern. No other place was open today either, they were my only option and they showed up. My last vet was way more expensive on treatment and exams and I paid $30 for both. Thank you again!!”
“Huge Thank you to Dr. Powell and his staff for showing me and my precious Patches, love, compassion and professionalism today, I had to put him to sleep.
Dr. Powell answered all my questions, understood my emotions and let me take all the time I needed to say goodbye.
Having my sweet fur baby to be in my arms when he took his last breath, I couldn't have done this without Oubre Animal clinic and their amazing staff.
I have used them since day one, I have always been blessed by their care and love for my dog Patches. If you are in need of a Vet, no reason to look anywhere else.
I am forever greatful for the love, care, and compassion that you showed my baby from day one to 16 years later when he took his last breath in my arms you treated me with dignity and respect.
God bless you.”
