Extremely rude woman that works in the surrender area where you must ring the bell for service outside the main building. All other staff was friendly and professional. Don't go there if you're trying to help a stray.

A great place, please do all you can to adopt or foster. There are so many good dogs that need the perfect owner/forever home, all the staff are friendly and well trained in knowing what each family and each dog needs. ? ?

The staff and volunteers are amazing. They are devoted to helping the pets have a chance at a forever home and families that love and protect them. Please take the time to visit the kennel and perhaps find your forever friend.

I used to volunteer here all the time, it is a wonderful place that is in desperate need of adoptions just as every shelter is! Ignore the reviews from ignorant people that don’t understand calling a shelter when it is very busy, that they won’t be able to pick up the phone most times- that’s just common sense. The staff here are so considerate and caring and just amazing. Please adopt and please do your research on the breed you’re adopting!!

I’m so disappointed in this place. I’m new to Texas and really wanted to adopt. I’ve called this facility 3 times and left my contact and yet haven’t gotten a callback. I’ve called the 4th time & they tell me every time oh we don’t have your information. So I rather them be honest and tell me they don’t want to adopt to me it’s ok. I’ll find another facility.

Went in for a cat. Came out with the bestest boy dog, Chancey. Was just a whim but the staff is friendly and the animals are well kept and loved.

We need more people like the staff here! Caring, compassionate and responsible! Our experience with the Humane Society of Central Texas was great. We even rescued a 2.5 year old Great Pyrenees. She is super sweet and gentle, loves to run and play.So glad we stopped in!

Wonderful staff and volunteers! I also live the set-up where you can spend time with a dog in a large space.

I spoke with a volunteer named Karen and she was so sweet and showed me dogs that she thought we would be compatible and she picked out 2 very loving dogs. Jackolope is awesome and calm and great with kids. I'm still thinking about the right one.

Go save a dog here. They have the best facilities and staff. My family has adopted six dogs here in the last three decades. Every time it's a wonderful experience.
