I have asked at least 3 times for the lighting above my unit no. 81 to be repaired. It is very hard to see in my storage unit. Please repair this.

I had my items at this location for a little under a year while we were moving to Waco. They have a rat problem. We had no food items in storage. We had rat damage to dining room chairs (ate through the fabric), area rugs, probably more than 100 boxes had been chewed on as well as the contents. They chewed up towels, plastic bowls, my toaster. We probably have around $5000 in losses & management offered to give us back our December rent ($300) hoping we would not leave a negative review. I did not take out their insurance because I have a homeowners insurance policy. It does, however, have a $5000 deductible. I would NEVER place my items here. We had so much damage and, what the rats didn't damage, they left rat droppings all over. I am so disgusted by this whole thing. For reference, I was in their largest climate controlled unit. DO NOT PLACE ANYTHING YOU CARE ABOUT AT IDEAL SELF STORAGE NEW ROAD.

Brandy is the face of Ideal. When I initially rented with Ideal, I called and got prices on units and she followed up with me when the units I needed became available, in a world where communication is non-existent or lacking, at best. I waited until after hours to get something from my unit and Brandy went out of her way to make herself available to accommodate my ignorance. Self storage should be simple and seamless, hiding in the background, which has been my experience with Ideal Self Storage on New Road, right on par with how storage unit rentals should be, but Brandy puts an unthought of customer service stamp on it, which would make me hesitant to rent elsewhere.
