“We were in Waco for a conference and this was our first time staying at a Tru. It pretty much was exactly what we expected: a modern, trying to be "hip," hotel that will look vastly outdated within the next 5 years. It was clean, the front desk staff was friendly (the breakfast area staff did not engage with customers virtually at all on Friday or Saturday mornings), and the rooms were sufficient, though small. That was actually surprising. The decor and size of the room made it feel more like a dorm room, to include the funky clothes-hanging racks over the microwave and posts on the wall (no closet). We can make do with whatever for a couple of nights, but for the price paid the room was too small compared to competitors.Additionally, the bathroom sink soap/lotion setup is the dumbest we have seen in any hotel (I should have taken a picture). They had two squeeze bottles that dispensed hand soap or lotion mounted on the wall to the right of the sink. They were challenging to squeeze (especially if you had an elderly customer), mounted in an awkward location, and totally invite germs via the fact that you have to squeeze soap out BEFORE you can wash your hands. I doubt the staff disinfects these bottles between customers. I'm not a germaphobe, but that just doesn't make sense for a system that serves rotating customers. This initiative did not get thought through...Bottom line is the hotel was okay, but we will not stay in one again when so many other (better) options are available for same or better pricing.”

“Rooms are big clean plenty of room to move around. Bed are huge and great mix of soft & firm. Sheet are clean and smell amazing. Bathrooms are clean. And kitchette is a small area but enough room to fix a meal and plenty of cabinet space if your long term, and a smaller full fridge with freezer. Overall it's a nice place to stay.Food & drinks: Saltgrass is right across the street.Noteworthy details: Lobby has a nice sitting area with a fireplace.”

“You could not get a better campus experience anywhere else! The condo is directly across the street from Baylor campus. It is gorgeous, spacious, and was very clean. There was ample parking if you have a vehicle. I thoroughly enjoyed staying here and was able to get fantastic night’s sleep. Ashley and Gaby are extremely helpful, kind, and accommodating. I felt very thankful for their kindness and great customer service after a difficult morning of traveling. Only thing to note: there is no "lobby" or area to wait other than outside in the parking lot, so if you arrive to Waco before check-in, plan to hang out somewhere else. Overall, a great experience and would certainly stay here again if I am back in Waco!”

“We arrived on a Friday and were quickly checked in. We asked how best to get to Magnolia Market and given easy directions. We spent a few hours and headed back to eat at hotel restaurant. The restaurant had light music playing. The booth had a monitor playing Mash rerun? A few other couples eating. Phillip was prompt at getting us menu and waiting for our drink order. My husband ordered a Manhattan with up grade Makers Mark and I, Red Blend house wine. He came back as no Maker Mark nor Red Blend wine. My husband chose another brand and they only had Pinot noir or Cabernet. Phillip made drink and brought wine. We both ordered sliders from the appetizer area. Not real hungry. The buns were over toasted as well as meat to grilled. Really did not enjoy our meal. Phillip attentive. This is why 4 starWe went to the Jacuzzi and it was very enjoyable. Our room large, clean and well lit. The beds very comfortable. Morning came and I found no hair dryer. Called down and one was brought up.The parking lot is well lit and plenty of parking.”

“Nice hotel. My coworker and I split a room each week...he comes up from Houston and I drive down from Oklahoma. Really easy to get in and out, the rooms are nice and clean and the beds are amazingly comfortable. I completely disregard all of the negative reviews in Google...this is a really nice hotel. Worth every cent. (Later) have any of you reading this ever noticed that most often the people who give the lowest ratings almost always have given the fewest reviews? And they use absolutes like "never", "always" and "worst" in their reviews. Get real.”

“Amazing. The staff was great, room was beautiful and spacious. The sheets and blankets smelled like bleach and detergent which I love. Carpet was clean fit my son's crib. Bathroom was clean. Towels were spotless. Pillows are small but very plump. The parking lot is a little small but it works. The breakfast is a little small but it's not a huge hotel so there's enough there to fill u up and thats all you need my family loved it definitely would come back.Rooms: The bed is very comfortable pillows were my favorite part. It has a kitchenette and coffee machine tv mounted couch that is also and pull out bed has a desk fridge and microwave. Great water pressure.Nearby activities: Has a pool, gym.Safety: Safety is maybe like a 7. Parking lot is a little sketchy at night but the rooms come with multiple locks. And we're night owls and never heard of saw anyone else.Noteworthy details: Everything smelled cleaned.”

“If I can give this hotel no stars then I would. I must say that this place is horrible. Let me tell you why.First room there were ants everywhere.Easy room switch.Second room the toilet was disgusting. As I went to the lobby to speak to the manager, he simply said when I see the room service to inform them to clean the toilet. Lol. Which why wasn’t that being done the first place. Many ppl butts sits on it so forth. He ends up coming to the room with room keeping and show her the toilet.Let me tell you how she cleaned it: she sprayed on the wrath and just did a swoop and still the bottom toilet was gross. When we needed more towels and toilet paper we had to go fetch it ourselves.HORRIBLE PLACEWe were to be staying there for two weeks and decided to leave to a better place.I know when we want to save a buck we all attend to go to the cheaper price. If you are staying at a hotel more than two days then that additional price is worth paying.YOU GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR, for sure.Don’t waste your time and money at this ratchet dirty place.Oh yeah and our sheets had holes. Lol.SMH.Rooms: Grossssssss. Very dirty and not cleaned well”
