This place will screw you and sue you! Watch their ridiculous interest and beware they are not for waco residents. I paid a truck off. And had 26k paid on a 19k car at 12.9% interest. So i owed only 5k left when i had 2 heart attacks (never missed a payment) they repoed my car in a month and a half and sued me for the remaining interest. These folks are trash..... please bank somewhere else. Youll thank me.

If you have the opportunity to make money on a car loan (positive equity) and are trying to get a payoff letter, genco “does not do that” HAHAHAHAHAH even the people at autonation had a giggle! I can’t believe that these people can’t send a very simple document to help me get this car sold and leave this bank for good.Careful if you ARE a customer and they ask you to refinance a car with them too. They will offer you a great rate than pull it from right under you claiming due to debt to income ration when you’ve paid the car loan you have with them ON TIME for over 2 years and not ONE late payment. Steer CLEAR.If a district manager would like to get a. Hold of us and provide us with a simple document to get our car sold don’t hesitate to reach out and I’ll be more than happy to retract my statements IF something is DONE here .2/10

GENCO is NOT what it used to be! Steer clear of GENCO and if you use them, DO NOT get the CUNA insurance they sponsor. I spent MONTHS trying to get an automatic debit stopped or corrected that was being processed through CUNA/GENCO and got nothing but call transfers, "I don't knows" and responses that I would have to talk to the other party. I finally gave up and closed my accounts to get the automatic drafts to stop. I had been a customer for 24 years.

This bank is no longer what it used to be. Ppl used to care here and now they don't. It is no longer a pleasure to be a member here. They turned me down for a loan when other banks jumped at the chance to give it to me. I can't get a new card in person for my account even paying the fee for one due to accounting not allowing me to get one because I had several replacements last year. If I am willing to pay for a replacement card why would I not be able to get one same day? Everything is attached to my bank account and my card and they have no care about shutting it down for a week to 3 weeks while they order a new card. The last time I had to wait dor a card it took a qholeonth to receive. I can not do that again. I will be switching banks and do not recommend this credit union to anyone as there are absolutely no perks in becoming a member here

I highly recommended genco the process to open an account was easy, the customer service was great and i highly recommend seeing Stephanie she was great and she made sure we understood the process and answered all our questions! Overall the credit union is great and the employees! if you want to be in and out and leave out with a smile i recommend Stephanie!

Just don't. Although they have a low interest rate, they are scatter brained and inefficient. I brought my insurance card the day I went in for refinance. They took a copy of my insurance card and set up my banking account that day. Loan contract wasn't ready for a few days as expected since I had to go in later in the day. After signing everything and paying the down payment, they called and asked for an insurance card. I reminded them of the copy they took and also gave them all the information over the phone. A month goes by and I get a letter about not having insurance on my car. So I have to jump through hoops to send it to some third party working on their behalf. They also, question my checks every time I go in to deposit on pay day. I work at a well known Local company. On top of this annoyance, the debit card I was given doesn't work. I've contacted them several times about this and they have done nothing to rectify. Don't do business with them!

This review is for both genco locations in waco tx.They're ok.Staff is nicer at the bellmead location.But don't think they're willing to help you if you need it because this bank does NOT care.I love my other bank, Verabank.

This place wasted my entire weekend searching for a vehicle, couldn't even give me a definite number until a week after my loan app was submitted. They gave a decent interest rate and that is the only positive thing about this place. The staff is the worst. They are the slowest most incompetent and have zero customers service skills, they are slower than the dealer with numbers and they call themselves a credit union. The Rodriguez dude was trash and supposedly he's the branch manager, I've dealt with Joy she was a complete airhead. Theresa works like 3 hours a day, and was my loan handler. All in all if you can I would go to any other credit union. Just not this one. This place could be good if they had some people that could handle there jobs and give great customer service. You will not feel like a member here. You will feel more like a slave to them. Judging from the previous reviews you must have to have tits or be white to have a great experience. The photo is an offer from Texans FCU that they could not match. Go to them. GENCO is trash.

I read and reread the 2 reviews and was shocked!!! They have been fantastic to me. I was approved and paperwork went to smoothly! I had Antonio and he was professional and nice. I can't say enough about this fantastic credit union.

I’ve been with Genco for 10 years and have always loved it but it’s gone downhill recently. I applied for a car loan in January and a credit report was pulled, but because the car wasn’t delivered until 32 days later, they pulled another credit report which resulted in another hard inquiry. Then, the lady who handled our loan signed us up for additional coverage without our authorization. Luckily I got it taken care of before signing, but it was shady to add coverage without even asking us! Then, my first payment was due (on a Sunday) and I usually pay in office with a check from my primary account. It slipped my mind and on Tuesday they withdrew the payment from the account. I’ve had numerous auto loans with Genco and never had them take the payment without telling me. I’m glad I noticed before I got overdraft fees, since I don’t check the account regularly. The old lady on the phone said she tried to call but I had 0 missed calls or voicemails. Fast forward to today, I got an alert that a credit inquiry was pulled again for an account I never use that’s been open for years. Apparently it’s customary to rerun your credit every 2 years for a dormant line of credit. I want to love Genco because they have great rates but they’re making it difficult. It may be time to take a look around for other local options.
