Took my inherited sewing machine and serger here to have tuned up before attempting to use. Was told the price for service was $46 but would be more if parts were needed, but they would call first. Was told to give them 4 days to look them over.2 weeks later I called since I had heard nothing. They told me both machines were ready. When I showed up only the sewing machine was ready. The kid who waited on my didn't even know what a serger was so took him a while to locate it.I was told the repair guy was about to work on the serger and it would be ready by the following Saturday (this was Saturday morning). The charge to service the sewing machine was $63 and when I asked why, the kid said he couldn't tell me because there were no notes what had been done or if any part had been replaced.I showed up the next Saturday and after looking a while they finally found it on the workman's bench. They said they had no idea if it was ready or not. They asked if I had been called and I stated I had not ever received any contact from them and was going what I had been told the previous Saturday.I was called today and told my serger was ready. The older guy was making out a deposit and seemed irritated he had to stop and wait on me. He found my serger and told me the fe would be $73. There were notes stating they made adjustments but again no documentation explaining why the higher fee.I didn't question the older man based on the previous horrible customer service they had shown me.AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU WANTED TO BE PROVIDED QUALITY CUSTOMER SERVICE. I will make the drive to Troy the next time I need to have them serviced or repaired.

I bought a new washer from them and unfortunately had a leak. Toby came out to my house and fixed it no questions asked. If you need a washer or dryer in Waco you need to get it from here

Use caution if you go here. This is an older business with a pawn shop feel to it. Nothing had a price, and it seemed like they were making up prices on a whim. Certainly felt like you could wheel and deal and still get screwed here. Maybe others have a different experience than we did, but this is what happened to us....long story short, I went in for a dryer as was quoted a certain price. Said I would be back so I could discuss it with the wife. My wife decided to stop by and purchase said dryer on the way home and the same salesperson that quoted me a price charged my wife $40 more. I will say they made it right and refunded us the money, but they only did that after I had to go back there personally.

Had a layaway for many years and finally got to getting it out. They are great for letting you go on the layaway as long as you want too.

I've always been able to buy here but I need to report on my last two experiences.Last year I bought a vacuum cleaner from these folks. It broke and I took it back for repair. It was $79 for that and it never worked again.Took it apart myself and found out it was the belt was ythe wrong size. I bought one online and fixed it myself.Don't waste your $ here . $17900 for the vacuum cleaner and another $79 for a repair that didn't work.My last one was I went I'm there to look for a used dryer. they sell a lot of spare parts for washers and dryers the only bad thing they see is that you are Hispanic and the man in front of the front door seems not to like helping a Hispanic person... we all deserve the same treatment if we are going to buy something we need...

Did a FANTASTIC job for me! My vacuum broke with houseguests coming soon. They fixed it a day earlier than promised AND for less money. My vacuum is better than new!

The man who helped me find a part I needed was nice and very helpful. The old man who owns the place however, is a jerk.

Reasonable prices, customer friendly and competent. They stand by and service the products they sell and are a valuable alternative when you buy from a company that DOES NOT have a traditional work/ business ethic. I've shopped here occasionally for several decades and a recent experience has confirmed my appreciation of the business. The Great Big Box store on New Road sold me a defective gas coupler for a stove I had bought from them and refused to deal with it. A Dicount Vacuum rep diagnosed the problem and fixed it for me at a reasonable price. When I needed a new refrigerator I bi-passed the BOX and went directly to DVA where I found a good variety of quality Refrigertors and the same competent assistance I have come to expect.

Best place in Waco to buy appliances, even though their store is not quite updated. They are also helpful about answering questions and doing repairs long after purchases. In the last 4 years we've purchased a washer, dryer, and dishwasher. Rob and Toby are so knowledgeable and helpful! It's amazing, these days, to purchase an appliance and have it delivered the same day or the next day!
