Melanie Wehmeyer, is very unprofessional and not to mention unhelpful. She never is available and when you go in there to talk to her she brushes you off to someone up front or try’s to make quick fixes to problems that require a little more than a piece of paper shoved in my face. Everyone I talk to in that building sounds completely clueless and I don’t feel they even know what they are doing. I will never do business with them again if I could give Melanie a zero star I would because as a manager her staff is stumbling and clueless because or poor leadership. One more complaint is that they are completely over priced and over rated save your money and the headache of going through them. I’m sure an average Joe doing taxes online could handle a tax return better than the people at H&R Block

Melanie Wehmeyer was hands down the most unprofessional person I’ve ever had to deal with. First off she had the audacity to ridicule the amount of interest I’ve paid on my home (it’s my first year being a home owner majority of my payment is interest at this point). I was took back at her scoffing at the amount and her telling me that’s “to much interest”.Melanie Wehmeyer is by no means my financial advisor so keep the rude comments and remarks to yourself.Second off she made me feel as if I was less of a father by continually asking me “who the primary custodial parent” was. I have joint custody over my son with his mother. This year per me and my son’s mother agreement it’s my year to claim my son.I was told by Melanie Wehmeyer that I would need medical records, documentation from his school and or a permission note from the “custodial parent” that I can claim him.I’ve claimed my son in the past without any issue but today I felt that the simple fact that I’m a man means I couldn’t possibly be a “custodial parent” I couldn’t possibly claim my child without someone’s else’s permission because I’m a man.I will not be returning to this awful H&R Block.Come to find out Melanie Wehmeyer is the “director” if I were H&R Block and wanted to protect my hard earned name I’d strip her away of her position and title. She has to right to judge another person’s financial situation or their right as a parent.Melanie Wehmeyer should be fired.

Typically have my MIL do my taxes but she was super busy this year. I had filed my taxes with H and R block a few times years ago. I thought ok I’ll go up to have them do it u know it’s free why not. However as I go I said I need help with my taxes. Front desk never said anything about it costing. Wait and go in back with a gentleman who was great but again failed to tell me upfront that there was a cost. Granted I should have asked but as a repeat customer who never paid before I didn’t think of it. As we get to the end he tells me this or your return and that will be $275… I said ummm for what he said for us filing ur taxes. I said what I didn’t know y’all charged last time I came in it was free. He proceeds to tell me yea I messed up I should have told u in the beginning. I said yea I should have I’m not paying $275 for u to do my taxes that took u 10 min max. He then says ok but u still have to pay $50 for consultation … jaw drop what ur kidding. Wtv I walk up to front and see a sign… upfront no surprise pricing guarantee… I said ok I see u have this sign but y’all both failed to be upfront I’m not paying. She says yes u have to pay consultation fee I said no ur sign says upfront guarantee.. another lady rudely runs out of the office you should have scanned our QR code to look at pricing I said yea I should have asked but u also have a sign that’s says upfront pricing guarantee and ur staff failed to be upfront and admitted to failing to do so I’m not paying… haha she tells me we are up front by providing u this QR code.. what a joke I just said wtv lady way to scam people. Place and manager are a joke and she’s was incredibly rude!
