We weren't really hungry but stopped anyway and shared a butter chicken and samosas and picked up some baked treats and spices. We were glad we called since yelp has them listed as closed on Monday currently but they were open. Great food and bookmarking to come back!

Man! We couldn't believe how good the brisket burritos are! And the crust on the pizza is the BEST we've ever had!! Who woulda guessed that we would have such a great experience with a food establishment inside a gas station!? Buc-ees better watch out!! Very friendly employee too!! We will go back to Vega just for this place!

Stumbled across this place on Google as we were looking for a restroom on our trip from Tucumcari to Dallas. Besides the great facilities, this place is essentially your nostalgia filled Punjabi dhaba. We ended up buying a bunch of stuff; food wise we had their samosa, aloo paratha and veg biryani. The paratha was hot and freshly made (something tells me you can't go wrong with any of the Punjabi options here) Personally the highlight for me was picking up a giant box of mango bites (candy). Quite literally my childhood in a box 10/10 would recommend stopping here (also you get to see a bunch of trucks with Indian phrases and decals)

A must try!! Amazing home cooked Punjabi food. Exactly what we needed after eating out for last few days of vacation. Fresh chai was cherry on top of an awesome meal. Thanks for running this beautiful place, reminding us of home away from home :)

All of the food is absolutely delicious and made authentic with very good flavors. You will be in shock that food this good is found in a complete dive and in Vega TX of all places. Make the stop you will not regret it!

We were driving to Amarillo and needed something to eat. and read the reviews. We decided to stop and we were very happy with our food. We had butter chicken, paneer, samosas and roti. We loved our meal and glad we stopped.

My husband and I were a bit hungry during a road trip but did not seem to want Subway or burgers. We decided to try the truck stop after checking local places on Yelp. I'm not going to lie, I was very nervous that this place was a truck stop, grocery, takeout place. We decided to keep it vegetarian and ordered one aloo gobi and 3 rotis with a samosa for each of us. Hubby also got a chai which was very large. Husband mentioned many truck drivers and families came in to pick up phone orders while he waited for his order so it made me feel assured that they had a good reputation and their food was fresh as their business was busy. Ultimately, It was all great tasting and the tea was hot and tasty. We are planning to stop in again when we head back from our vacation.

Solid Indian food. Goat curry had nice spice and the goat was pretty tender, little fatty. Rice was good. Samosa was nicely fried and the outer breading had good flavor. Liked but Didn't love-love the samosa filling's flavor, just my preference. Other reviewers loved the samosas so there you go. We called ahead 15 mins and the food was ready when we arrived and it was VERY hot and remained hot as we traveled in the car. They gave us a plate to make it easier to eat in the car. Very friendly people operating it.

This was on our way from Colorado to Austin, and was SO good, we went 20 min off the quickest route on our way back to buy dinner for when we'd stop 3 hours later! As a diagnosed celiac, it's tough to find good food that's 'safe' out on the highway, and it was such a treat to find FABULOUS, celiac friendly Punjabi food! Curry chicken and mixed Paratha were outstanding! It's not fancy AT ALL-actually is a closed, totally run down gas station, but you won't regret getting past the exterior! Call 15 min ahead and it will be ready for pick up!

You ain't lived until you've had 5-star Indian food from a gas station outside of Amarillo, Tx by the roadside. Sometimes I just really love my life! I can report that the butter chicken, the aloe gobi, the roti, and especially the rice, aromatic and perfectly cooked, was delicious! I was going to eat it later in the day, but I didn't even make it out of the parking lot, had to have some right then and there.

We did not expect to get much more than fast food as we stayed one night in Vega, but Panjabi Dhaba served up a tasty meal of some of our favorite dishes. The butter chicken was not really as rich and velvety as it usually is, but it was good. The saag and the aloo gobi (vegetarian) really hit the spot. The owner threw in some rice for free. This place is a funky little gem in a truck stop stocked with Indian snacks and goods. Overall, we were very happy with our dining experience and highly recommend this cool little place.

Food was delicious! Takeout only. Lots of Indian snacks, spices and housewares. Mango Lassi was really good, not too sweet.
