I loved seeing this! My love for old things is strong. So I stopped to see this on my way back home to Colorado from Texas! Worth a quick look if you love old stuff and history!

I like to imagine what the world looked like before I was born. Thanks to the people who took care to preserve places like Magnolia Gas Station for us, this is much easier to do. Just close your eyes and imagine how life once boiled in this place: people, cars, buses - everyone was in a hurry. Now it is a quiet place, a small memorable sign that helps to remember the history of a great country. It will take you only 15 minutes to see this place, take a short turn off I-40, you will not regret it. There is a picnic area if you are not in a rush.

Lots of these neat old gas stations along the Mother Road. All are cool reminders of when things were a little more open and less cluttered.

Cute little station from the very early days of Route 66. The picnic area was clean and better than the ones offered on the interstate. No restroom or trash cans.

If you are looking for Route 66 stops, then visit Vega, Texas and soak in yesteryear. Get there early and you can spend time dining and enjoying the museum.
