Amazing location. The drive there alone is worth it. Calm, tranquil. Beautiful lodge with an amazing bed, fireplace, whirlpool bathtub. Just so cozy. We spent our Christmas vacation here, far from the heat and crowds you'd find in summer time coming to enjoy the river. We walked in the parks by the river, so peaceful. Ate great bbq (the hog pen in Leakey), sat around and played board games, drank some great wine from local vineyards. The host brought us homemade pie. I can highly recommend the lodges at lost maples, and absolutely cannot wait to return! You really couldn't ask for more.

Cozy accommodation with a fireplace and full kitchen, and perfect for exploring Lost Maples State Natural area and Garner State Park. No Wifi but that could be a plus when getting away from it all!

Solomon's Den is likely the most fantastic couples cabin we have ever stayed. Romantic and beautiful in its construction and decor - Its setting is in some of the most beautiful countryside there is to see in Texas. All the amenities you could need for a romantic getaway are there when you arrive . The owner provides a bottle of red wine , some firewood, bubble-bathe with Epsom salts for the Jacuzzi bathtub and an enormous bed surrounded by windows and a spacious tin metal ceiling that glows fabulously when you make a hot fire. We cooked steaks out on the grill and looked up to see our amazingly clear milky way galaxy like we hadn't seen in decades. We hiked in the nearby Lost Maples State park which was great but truly we enjoyed our time in the cabin the most. We only wished we had booked longer !Rooms: Open, woodsy rustic with great light and perfect space for kitchen, living area and an enormous bed with a fabulous jacuzzi tub right next to it.Nearby activities: Lost Maple State Park - WineryWalkability: Very walkable within the propertyFood & drinks: We brought everything food-wise that we would eat and drink as there is limited selection to food and spirits near the lodges. This way you never have to leave unless you go to the park or to scenic rest areas for the starsNoteworthy details: Its the kind of experience that if it rained all day, you would still love it.

Loved the "no technology" approach as well as the Texas feel of the cabins and outdoor spaces.Nearby activities: Lost Maples State Park hiking trails were very enjoyable.

Beautiful. Affordable. EASY. This place is nestled just off of Ranch Road 337 between Vanderpool and Leakey. That alone will keep me coming back -- but it gets better. When you rent a country cabin, you never really know what you're in for, but this place is well-built, cute, and peaceful. It's on Lower Sabinal River Road (we call it The Road to Utopia), which makes for an excellent hike through some truly beautiful country. Very close to TWO state parks: Lost Maples and Garner. The price was very reasonable for what you get. And the check-in-check-out process could not have been easier. We plan to bring our entire family here in the future.

We were looking for a peaceful getaway from the city and found it at Solomon's Rest @ The Lodges at Lost Maples. The stars at were big and bright there, deep in the heart of Texas. Cabin had everything we needed to be self sufficient for the weekend, and hot tub was very relaxing. Definitely a hidden gem.

Staying a the Lodges at Lost Maples was the perfect place to escape and unwind with my sweetheart for the weekend. As we drove up to the cabin, we realized the spectacular view of the hill country from both sides of the cabin. You have everything you need! Even a bottle of wine and cookies! Thank you for sharing a little slice of heaven with us! We will be back as soon as the weather cools!

Very pleasant stay over Easter weekend. We stayed in Solomon’s Den and it felt very welcoming the moment we stepped in. The cabins are all fairly close to each other but still private and situated in between several hills that create such a quiet and peaceful experience. There is also definitely no phone signal here but it’s a great way to tune the rest of the world out for a few days. In case of emergencies, we were able to get service at the rest stop just a few minutes up the road. We would definitely not hesitate to stay here again.

Our stay in Fletcher's Cottage could not have been more delightful, more restorative, more perfect for our 57th anniversary. The host has seen to every detail, however minor it may seem, including sets of birthday candles should one have need. The cottage is comfortable in what appears to be artless, but is, in fact, the result of a very keen eye, welcoming, restorative, and well-equipped. We especially like the arched natural wood ceiling and the faux-painted wall in the bathroom. We hope to return often.

The lodge was a single unit and very private. Very well appointed for enjoying our stay and activities on site. The owner has thought of everything for a convenient and cozy stay. The location is about 3 miles from Lost Maples State Natural Area.

From the moment of reservation to the end of our stay it was a great experience.Jeralyn and the owner's hospitality and communication was excellent. The cabin was very beautiful and so cozy. My family enjoyed the fireplace going on that weekend and a small camp fire and fishing was a fun experience, too. My family had a great time away there and we look forward to going back there again!!!

Highly recommend to anyone wanting peaceful accommodations in the Lost Maples area. The cabins have everything you could want! Full kitchen, comfortable seating on the back porch. As well as barbecue grill, hammock and fire pit in the back with comfortable Adirondack chairs. Stayed in January and thoroughly enjoyed the cozy fireplace inside the cabin. The Host take very good care of their property and are very accommodating. The stars are absolutely breathtaking!
