I called for assistance and instead got a notice on my door. I called to get info on surrendering a dog. The lady called me back to create a “ticket” to follow up with me next week. I thought it wa pointless since they were not accepting dogs. They had time to deliver a notice on the same day but not help with the issue. The notice was quickly resolved since it was a misunderstanding from the person I spoke with. She should have asked questions to clarify but wasted more people’s time.

I called because of a hurt raccoon on the access road. They did nothing about it and weren’t the friendliest.

I wanted to let the customer know the lady that turned in the I believe the Dane mix.i wanted to let you know that the shelter people by just looking at the dog's features they should be able to tell you what breed he is so the shelter lady shouldn't even be working there and number two how DARE she accuse a customer of lying.i live in bastrop and we here we have to show our i.ds and if your i.d shows your address is in Cibolo then you have to turn in the animal at cibolo location doesn't matter where you found the animal so this is a way that our shelters do things so its more professional and it's takes away the accusing which isn't necessary and so the shelter people are the experts of dog breeds and since the dog you say is a mix this means even if it has pitbull it still is a mix so they're is no reason why she wouldn't take this dog in. so she is very unprofessional and not knowledgeable.

There is a woman who I assume is the director since she had an office, who was incredibly rude and condescending. She accused me of lying about where I found the dog (I’m not overly familiar with the area and was having trouble explaining where I picked up the stray). She asked what kind of dog it was and I told her it was a lab/Dane mix and she replied with “we don’t take pit bulls.” The man at the front desk was trying to be helpful and gave me the intake paperwork which while he took the dog to do whatever for his part of the intake. The woman saw him with the dog and said “I wouldn’t be taking that dog.” At that point I was so frustrated and upset by this woman that I took the dog back, I was not willing to leave him there at this point. I took him home and was able to find a rescue that could take him. Will not ever be turning in strays to this office again. I’m no expert but I’m pretty sure there zero pit bull in this dog pictured.

I have always had high regards for this Facility, I got my first cat full blood linkspoint syamese cat from the old facility, Simon Lasted for 20 years, We unfortunately had to give up our 6 month Chichuhua. Little Pico, because of old age, and not being able to keep up with the little one, they found a very loving home for him, And we are so happy for that. Thanks again for the Super, Professional Staff....

I grew up in UC and just moved back. This shelter has supplied me and my family with cherished pets and resources for as long as I can remember. I started volunteering in this shelter as soon as I was old enough and it was a wonderful experience. I truly appreciate the wonderful people at this facility and I wish I could have said goodbye to some of the staff before they moved on while I was away. I truly appreciate all you do.

Friendly and helpful. My dog was unfortunately picked up and brought to their shelter while I was at work. They went above and beyond to locate and contact me. I told them I would be there before they closed and they called 30 minutes to closing to verify that I was on my way since they are closed on the weekend. It seemed like they try to get the pets back home with their families quickly.

UC animal control was professional from the dispatcher over the phone to the gentleman that picked up the dog. We had a big German shepherd roaming the neighborhood and call animal control to pick him up. They arrived in less than 10 minutes. Great customer service all around. Thanks UC animal control.
