Came by on my lunch break around 2pm. Doors were locked with no note saying they were closed for lunch or anything. Then I tried calling to see if they would be opening back up to avoid having to go to Walmart and I watched the worker pull out the phone and look at it literally while I was calling and not answer.

Three stars for store cleanliness and sympathy for one employee having to work solo and do everything.Clean, as far as dollar stores go, as they have a reputation for having merchandise all over the store/ in the aisles. There was even a piece about this on the news recently.One employee is working (which I don't think should be allowed), but post covid it is common. She rang up my items and, at least made an effort to (pretend) to smile and say "hello/have a good night"... which is all I ask for in situations like these coupons! She even mentioned that there were coupons on the app and she thought some were for items that I had purchased. I thanked her for the advice and left the store.In the car, I checked the app and found three items I purchased had coupons totaling $4.50. So I "digitally" clipped them and went back in the store to return the three items I had just purchased. I told the cashier I was just going to return them and I would stop by another Family Dollar near my house to rebuy them using the coupons. She just said "No, I can't do that" and went back to what she was doing.Family Dollar has a refund policy on its website that clearly states I had the right to return the items. When I went over to show her the company policy, she was ringing up somebody and purposely refused to make eye contact and/or acknowledge me. I just left the store at that point, as it wasn't worth making a big fuss over.Just wanted to add this review, regarding this particular location, as they do not follow Family Dollar corporate/company policy.

I went in really quick to purchase a couple of items. I was surprised to see they have some Mexican dulces!! Family Dollar has a nice variety of everything that you need for your home, kitchen, office or for yourself. This store is kept clean too! I hadn't been to one of these in such a long time. I'll be coming back for sure.

I'm really upset with the service. I was trying to make a return for some Christmas lights that I didn't need, all of the boxes were unopened, and they turned me away saying they couldn't do returns on electronics. They hadn't even been touched, and there was no mention of this when I made the purchase. The guy running the register couldn't have cared less. Went to the Family Dollar in Schertz and got my money back with no hesitation and friendly service. Even though this store inconvenienced me after a long hard day, I'm glad the Schertz location was willing to help me. Avoid this one. They made me feel sad and irritated.
