Was at the book store asked if they had used copies and said we don't thats fine. A women came up to sell a book the one I needed and they said we will be selling as new not used! They are scaming you out of money

I wish I could put 0 stars. I have had HELL with this bookstore. I have gone to TJC for 2 years. This is my final semester and I have NEVER had so much trouble. I have been calling at least 10 times a day every single day for three weeks and have not gotten a single answer. I have left multiple voicemails and even emailed them. They charged my account $780 for books I haven't even received. They don't even have the books in stock! Whenever I went up there I was rushed because of the long lines and didn't get ANY of my questions answered. I am no Karen but this is ridiculous.

Unfortunately, I have to leave a star to be able to leave a review.No one has answered the phone in over three weeks. I have called at all different times during their business hours since August 9th. I have left several messages and sent emails with absolutely no response. The hours are ridiculous for someone who’s trying to work and go to school. They’re only open from 8 am until 5 pm Monday thru Thursday, Friday from 10 am until 2 pm, and they’re closed on Saturday and Sunday. My books have been ordered, several were only digital content, which should’ve been received within 48 hours. Nothing has been received, classes have started, and assignments are due. I’ll have to purchase the books again, not thru TJC, so that I can try to get my work completed in time.The bookstore website listed on TJC’s website, and on the recording you get when you call the bookstore, is incorrect. They’re still listing the old bookstore website.Obviously something needs to change asap. You are preventing students from being able to complete their assignments. Many students need to use their financial aid to purchase their supplies(computers, calculators, etc), which you no longer offer. Good luck finding the correct textbook. Make sure you’ve checked your course syllabus. The information on the website isn’t always correct.The website is only good for purchasing a few items such as notebooks, and pencils(there’s literally only a few choices available) unless you’re looking for items such as an over the toilet cabinet.Who’s responsible for this and why aren’t they addressing the issues?Update: I’m here in the store now, If you are trying to contact the store via phone, they can’t answer because the phones aren’t even plugged into the wall.The store is very busy. The person trying to help everyone needs the assistance from the manager, Abel. Every time she tries to get the manager to come down, he basically gives her directions to try to resolve the problem on her own. She has advised me to go to the other side of the store to retrieve my books.Now I am at the online order desk. I’m told that they don’t know why my digital content hasn’t been received and that my books aren’t in the store. Weird, the other person told me that my books are here. This person asked if Abel is available, to which the other workers responded “he’s upstairs, he’s not coming down any time soon”. I was basically told to wait as long as I want to or come back tomorrow. So now I wait….

can no longer get computers in the bookstore. They refer you to the website, and the website has none that you can purchase with financial aid. Staff in the bookstore were not friendly, TJC is going downhill quickly.They take advantage of their students on financial aid, went in today and grabbed a few pens and notebooks. pens were $4 each. That is ridiculous

My experience was great. I first called them to See if my Books were in hard copy then I went to the bookstore. They help me very much with my digital books. As well as my hard copy books. A New Girl took her time and worked hard To figure it out I was completely helped.

Great place to pickup snacks. Very well organized and friendly staff. Lots of TJC t-shirts and other school items.
