Jackie Carreno got us fixed up. We waited an entire month to get the internet because the last tenant in our house had a past due bill. We had to verify our identity over the phone and still had issues with getting services set up. We decided to go in the store and it was the best decision we could have ever made. She was nothing short of wonderful ?? highly recommend you see her.

Robbery. I visited the store to close my account and turn in my equipment one week before my billing cycle. I was assured it was closed. One week later I visited the store to return an additional remote control I found. Again was assured account was closed. About a week later I received a call with special offers, $100 reduction of monthly bill, etc. to keep the account open. The representative said the account was active and refused to close it. Finally hung up on me. This process was repeated for 4 hours and multiple phone calls. Optimum refused to close the account. I continued to call and finally reached a person who confirmed the account was closed. Optimum then billed me a full month a $246.52 for the period I no longer had service. I called again and billing agreed to reverse the
charge but did not. FTC and state attorney generals office say this is an increasingly common tactic, to refuse or stall closing accounts. Foreign service centers are incentivized to keep accounts open and attempt to stall the customer until they give up. Consumer beware. Illegal activity but no active enforcement of the laws.
This process has taken six weeks. I have had to take off work to try and resolve. Optimum will spend any amount of resources and time necessary to ensure you are cheated.
Update. Optimum promised to resolve on multiple occasions but still charged me for a month after I had no service or equipment. After years of poor service and service outages, this is their parting shot.

One of the worst internet companies I've ever experienced if you have any other options I would recommend taking them. The service is ok but customer service sucks and they will suspend your account if you get behind and still continue to bill your account while you have no access to your Internet and on top of that they'll suspend your account before the due date. Which is so asinine that y'all are so quick to interrupt someone's service before the date due. Even when you're on time and they have a service issue that leads to you going days without Internet no reimbursement, no different than a predatory loan

Internet was great while we wanted it. Now they have had my wife on the phone for an hour, essentially refusing to cancel our coverage. Every time they take her off hold, we tell them we want to cancel and they just try to convince us to switch our coverage and then put us on hold again. Pitiful and disrespectful customer service. We will avoid using Optimum again in the future bc of this annoying process.

Most HORRIBLE customer services ever. I spent over an hour on the phone trying to disconnect my services and I kept getting the run around and the calls "kept dropping". I wish I didn't have to rate this company to leave a review because I would give it -10000.

Waited in line for 45 minutes, then was told “we don’t take cash.”
Well, why not this is still America isn’t it? We still use cash in America? Don’t we? What is yawls problem? Why can’t you get your shit together?
They just installed fiber in my complex, I wasn’t going to transfer services, but now I am. Thank you, Optimum for making the decision to switch so easy for me.
