I love, love, love Meli. Laney and the other beauticians are fab. The prices are fair and the atmosphere friendly. I left from a more expensive salon in town. I have no regrets. I have been a client for over a year, and have not been disappointed yet.

DO NOT! Go to Meli at the Zion Salon. Tuesday January 30 I went to an appointment with Meli to bring my hair from the greenish blue back to blonde. She had told me a week before in a consultation that to get to the style I wanted she could get it blonde in an hour for 70 dollars since my hair was short and half shaved. After 4 hours of her failing to get the green out, she wanted to try contrasting it with a dye. I had heard of this technique before and she said she had handled hair like mine before so I agreed. She tried a strip of red, ¿gold?, and silver. When she brought out the red and the gold it didn't work, but she had told me the grey covered it. I didn't want the dark grey originally but she told me it'd be a good halfway point to what I wanted. She went out, bought more dye, and started to cover my hair in it. 3 coats of dye later she washes it out and it looked awful. She tried to convince me that the yellow in the lights and sat me down in her chair to style it. It is now 6 o'clock at night, my appointment had started at noon and I am trying to remain calm as she blow dries my hair and then I hear her say Out Loud “it looks much better wet†she then sprays down my hair and tells me that my total is no longer 70 dollars but 100, and I need to come back tomorrow to finish it. I had mentioned multiple times that I only had one day since finding a babysitter is difficult for me but she told me to pay and sent me and my shopping wet hair home. The next morning I woke up to the nasty grey blue green and purple mop in the last few photos and spent the whole day home because I was too embarrassed to go out in public. I text her back saying I wasn't happy, I was uncomfortable continuing, and I wanted a refund. She refused to refund me anything. I spoke with the owner and unfortunately Meli rents out the spot so the owner cannot make her do anything, she was very polite and apologetic and even said that Meli shouldn't have promised to get so much done in one day much less an hour. She told me she would speak to Meli and I should hear back from her before the day was out. It has been 4 days and there has been no word from Meli. I have accepted that I will not be getting my money back but I don't want anyone else to go through all the mess I did.
