The Residence Inn by Marriott Tyler provides a generally comfortable and clean stay with friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are consistently described as clean, comfortable, well-organized, and quiet, featuring modern furniture, a good layout, and convenient amenities like a refrigerator, microwave, and cooking area. The beds are very comfortable. Guests enjoy a good breakfast with fresh items and a wide, delicious variety. The hotel has a great location near many places to eat. The indoor pool is heated and spacious. However, the location is noted as not the best for those working north of Tyler. Some areas require attention. The elevators are frequently described as scary, old, rickety, loud, and unnerving, making rumbly, creaking, clanging, and rattling noises. Hallways can be hot and humid. Some rooms and common areas need updating, with mentions of stained carpets, a very loud HVAC unit, and a lack of USB ports. Occasional issues with hot water and room assignments occur, though staff works to resolve them. Parking costs have increased, and prices in the hotel store are considered ridiculous.
The room was very clean. My room has a refrigerator, microwave and cooking area. Shower was super hot and good water pressure.

Amazing staff, clean, comfortable rooms, clean common areas, and good breakfast items. The rooms could use some updating, and the location is not the best if you are working north of Tyler.

Booked a one bedroom suite and when we got there, we were in a normal room. They didn’t say anything but when I called, they explained. They were able to get us into the correct room the next day which I appreciated.
Good breakfast, clean rooms, and great experience overall.
