Thoroughly impressed with Mike's!
I called Mike's after having my a/c compressor damaged at a dealer's service department.
At every step of the process, the folks at Mike's communicated clearly and professionally. I'm sorry I don't remember her name, but the lady in the office was great! She let us know the diagnostic fee when we called to set the appointment, and again when we dropped it off. She called to let us know process, pricing, & to get approval for everything they did on the Jeep. (None of this after-the-fact explaining why it was more than we were expecting.)
When I picked it up, they showed me the damage and explained how it was causing a short. Again, very professional and clear.
I was also extremely pleased with their turnaround time. We dropped it off on a Thursday around noon, and got a call Monday morning that it was ready!
It was still a pricey repair, but all the folks at Mike's made it a little easier to take!

These guys are great! They have worked on several of my vehicles now and were always fast at getting things repaired. There were no hidden or extra fee's. They were honest and upfront about everything and professional throughout the entire process. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for a repair shop!

One of the Best Shops in the area. They helped me out in a big pinch when a vehicle I'd had purchased needed a timing belt but I didn't have the time to do it and thought I could wait a week. (Never put off maintenance itl bite you like it did me.) They were professional prompt and took care of me despite never seeing me or the truck before. And to top it off they have BG there. Awesome made in the USA products that do what they say they do. The protection plan is a plus too!
When I'm down in Texas I'm bringing whatever car i drive down to them for any service work.

I spend a lot of time on the road; with my band and with my family. My family vehicle (Chevy Suburban) broke down in Tyler, TX and I found Mike's Automotive on Google and went to his shop strictly because of the high reviews. Mike and his entire crew were extremely personable, straight forward and got right to work on my vehicle as soon as I arrived. They figured out the problem within a few minutes and had the part delivered within 1 hour. We recently moved to the Tyler area and have been looking for a reliable and honest mechanic. Our 2008 Tundra was in need of some brake repair and after an internet search we found Mike's Automotive Repair shop. Mike's shop had great reviews so we dropped off our truck in the morning and that same afternoon it was fixed. Mike took time to explain the repairs that were made and some areas to keep an eye on for our old truck. Great service, we highly recommend Mike's auto repair.
