Had a dryer that was having issues drying. I contacted the owner, Kenny, and he helped me troubleshoot with new parts to attempt to fix. Was unable to get old dryer working between the two of us sadly. Kenny was extremely helpful and once we realized the dryer was not able to be fixed, I decided to purchase a newer used dryer from him. Kenny went above and beyond to help me by answering all my questions while going through this process.

Ok I was told by someone that this place was good, I needed a dryer cause mines went out, I bought a dryer from here at Midtown Appliance in Tyler tx,on June 1,2023. Ok on June 8,2023 I washed and put clothes in dryer the dryer had this very loud noise that you could here outside, I called and talked with the owner Kenny he said he was out of town and he'll take care of me when he gets back he ask me to send a picture of the dryer and my address so I did..On June 11,2023 he sent his son out with another dryer and took the loud dryer back, ok next day June 12,2023 I washed and put clothes in dryer the dryer ran for 2 hrs and clothes still wet,I tried another timer it ran for over and hour clothes still wet, so I call Kenny again and told him what this dryer doing he telling me it's my breaker, then said his repair man at the driver license place, and he ask me to send a picture of this dryer and send my address, I said I already gave you my address few time, so he said he'll call me when his repair man get threw, then he went on talking nice with little humourous jokes just to make me feel comfortable...no call back so on June 15,2023 I called Kenny no answer then he called back I told him again about the dryer he telling me he in Dallas and will be back today and will take care of me and ask for my address again I didn't give it...On June 20,2023 I texted him Kenny letting him know you are a con man and liar, you know you got some ragged appliances in your store your not so professional you try to get over on your customer by humourous joke to make them feel comfortable and I said some other stuff..about 15 minutes later he called me I didn't answer then he left voice message, then he text me trying to apologize, I didn't respond to any of it..he called twice..So now I'm looking for so legal action cause I was still under the 30 day warranty policy..I will never buy again from this store...bad business

Good service and helpful assistance. We had a freezer stop working and they were able to deliver one four hours after we purchased it. Great service considering we live about 14 miles from town. At this time the new freezer is humming along. :-)

"The ones that work."That pretty much sums up my experience at Midtown Appliance. I am new(ish) to the area and was in need of a washer and dryer set for my new home. Price inflation and chip shortages made me fear that I was in for yet another headache in shopping for major appliances. I didn't need a gleaming new appliance set, just something simple and reliable, ideally name brand, that wouldn't break the piggy bank.Well, that's what I got. Dad and I just hooked up both units and they work just fine (after swapping out a rubber washer on one of the hookup hoses). Consider this: All the chips, sensors and computerized stuff has made appliances both more expensive and more complicated to repair. Midtown Appliance seems to have more of the older, mechanical models and doesn't mess with the touchy, wonky technology. It makes sense.

oingDon't bother! Asked several times if the stove needed to be tied. No, nope, it will be fine. Are you SURE we don't mind getting a rope before we go. No it's fine I do this all the time. Guess what it wasn't fine! Paid $400 to get told it was our fault for not tieing it up. Now we have a broken stove. $400 lost because we believed her. Owner is not getting back to us on our questions. Maybe a discount? A return for the bad advice by someone who knows what they're doing? Something, even a hey sorry, would have been nice.
