“Have visited this location a few times now so I feel I am now qualified to write a review. Staff have been very friendly without failure, stock and inventory has been plentiful and I have not left without something I was looking for. Prices for items on sale are very reasonable aside from their gun selection. However, it is hard to compete in that department when you have gun stores dedicated to competitive pricing in the area. I would 100% recommend this store. Well done and you earned a long-time customer!”

“I want to start this review with a personal acknowledgement to Jonathan Roach for his awesome service, professionalism and knowledge of the products.

One of the last weapons that I purchased from Superior Outfitters in Tyler was around 2020. In fact, I purchased two Sig Sauer P320 X models, with one being a custom carry and the other being a custom Legion - or so I thought. I was told that the store was given permission by Sig Sauer to "build" the Legion as a custom. Mine was even numbered as "2 of 10". When I went to the Sig Sauer website to register my new Legion, I was soon met with the harsh reality that I had been duped. Little did I know that this was a basic, bone stock P320 on a X carry module with a flat trigger. There was absolutely nothing "Legion" about this pistol. I contacted Sig Sauer and explained to them the dilemma. From there I was directed back to the store only to be told that the gunsmith that "built" the pistol was no longer there and there was nothing they could because the gun had left the store. Needless to say, I wasn't the most enthusiastic person about Superior Outfitters. Not only did they lie, they flat out stole my money.

As a business owner, I'm not one that typically leaves negative reviews. But to spend over $3000 on guns in one day at the same store, one could reasonably believe that they would be taken care of in the event of such snafu. However, that was not the case here. I had to call the store because they wouldn't return my call. Even after asking to speak with the owner, I was informed that his decision was pretty much like "oh well, too bad".

I swore to myself that I'd NEVER buy from this company again. Four years later, I decided to try again. The ONLY reason that I even took the time to consider this purchase is because of your sales associate, Jonathan Roach. Yes, I spent another $1300 with your company, but only because of this guy. Had it not been for Mr Roach, I would not have spent a dime.
