We recently moved to the area into a new home. When we were ready to use our gas logs, they didn't work. Jerry worked with me on the phone to try an resolve the issue but to no avail. Jerry came out personally, diagnosed and repaired the problem promptly and professionally. He is top notch, kind and knowledgeable Many thanks.

To be honest, I’m not too happy. On October 13th I purchased an electric fireplace. It wasn’t cheap. I asked them to put a hold on the order until I could get an electrician to get power to the fireplace, plus I had to have gas capped. This took longer than I expected, so two weeks later (!!) I called to request the order be processed, and I asked for a call back to verify they got the message. More than six hours passed and no call. So I stopped in to ask the same. They copied my receipt (the check cleared the bank already) and again I asked them to call once it was ordered with a delivery estimate. That was Monday. Today is Friday. Still no call.What is it with businesses that don’t return calls or respond?? Besides being rude, it’s just bad business.Update: They were gracious enough to refund my money. I got the same unit the very next day in Dallas from a store that keeps them in stock.

Went in to buy a number plaque for my new brick mailbox. It will be ready within two weeks.

We waited for weeks for our stone that we picked because we were told it was in stock and we were in a time crunch. Wes is the absolute worst in the stone department. He will lie and tell you one thing, change it 100 times and then get mad and hang up when you finally get upset with him. Talk to anyone besides him! I would rather be told that they screwed up and will fix it instead of being lied to. He will also blame everyone else in the company but himself. We wasted so much time dealing with him. My dad is a builder and we try and support other local businesses. He has done business with them for 25+ years but after this last fiasco we will take our business elsewhere.

Been a customer of theirs since we moved to Tyler in 1997. Extremely disappointed in their customer service over the past couple of years. We had our gas fireplace kit replaced by them a year ago and their installation and service was a nightmare. Recently we purchased over $9000 from them in bricks for a home improvement project. After they over bid the amount we needed based on square footage we gave them, we asked them to pick up the remaining pallets of brick and credit our account. Not only did we have to pay cash on the purchase , including a delivery fee, we have to pay $350 for them to pick the unused brick back up from our house. After weeks of trying to speak with someone on the phone to get them to pick up the brick and credit our account, we were told they would mail us a check for the difference. My wife left numerous voice mails with accounting department where they "could not find the receipt from out purchase". We will never use them again for any of our outdoor kitchen needs. Very disappointing.

BEWARE! The contractor, TIM REEVES, that works for East Texas Brick is bad news! He installed gas logs for me, I kept smelling gas after he was gone. Was actually getting sick from it, kept opening windows, running fans trying to get rid of the smell thinking it was just from the install. I called Reeves to see if he would come back and check his work to make sure everything was tight......he hemmed and hawed and said he would "check his book" and call me back. HE NEVER CALLED BACK! All this guy cares about is getting paid and then he is GONE. Finally, called Atmos Energy, they sent a guy out and had to shut the gas off to my entire house because Reeves damaged the gas valve in my masonry hearth and it was leaking gas directly into my home, VERY DANGEROUS! Was lucky enough to get a plumber out on a Friday afternoon, he said my brick hearth would have to be torn up to fix the valve, have no idea what that would cost but NOT CHEAP, OR he could cut off the gas line in the attic to the fireplace. I opted to cut the line, because I had to have heat over the weekend, was supposed to get to 30 that night and wanted my gas back on, NOW. The plumber bill was outrageous, had the gas man back to get my gas on and was at my home for 1 1/2 hours trying to figure out why he was still getting a "danger" reading in the fireplace. Finally, about 10 pm, got my gas back on and everything relit so I'd have heat and hot water over the weekend. NEVER DID HEAR FROM REEVES........this bad news contractor did not care one bit about checking his work to see if something had happened to put someone in danger...........didn't care one bit! I'm spreading the word about this bozo anywhere I can! BAD, BAD NEWS!

At least let delivery companies know you will be closed for inclement weather (light rain).So they dont show up at 7:30 and unstrap, just to find out the store is closed, by nobody showing up by 9:00

We have been so incredibly pleased with East Texas Brick through our entire building process! Jason has been our salesman, and we could not have asked for a more friendly, professional, and patient person to answer a million questions, provide samples, and offer advice. We liked them so much we came back here for our fireplace! There are many places closer to our build, but none offer this level of customer service combined with unbeatable prices!

We were quoted one price, drove an hour and a half to pick up quoted brick and they tried to charge us 60% more than what was quoted. Dishonest and crooked. Would not recommend!
