5 stars to Dunn Transmissions Inc. took the worry out of my son when they serviced his transmission on his truck. He took his truck to the local Ford Dealership in Jacksonville and they told him he had an issue with his transmission saying they found shavings in his transmission fluid when they pulled the plug. They wouldn't service his transmission saying that there was a major problem. Thank you so much for the peace of mind you gave my son.

I brought in my vehicle for a peculiar issue of which I had already spoken to several other mechanics, of whom one suggested I bring it to Dunn Transmissions to see if they could check the transmission. After running a diagnostic on it, they determined it was more likely an engine issue rather than a transmission issue. They sent me on my way with a copy of the codes from my diagnostic results, AND they did not charge me anything. Thank you Dunn Transmissions for your honesty and recommendations. I will certainly use you again should I need any transmission work done.

Nearly a year after Dunn Transmissions rebuilt our Toyota Rav4 transmission, I'm reminded how very lucky we were that our car broke down in Tyler, Texas, rather than Fort Worth! I should have written this review months ago - but better late than never. It was so stressful to have our transmission go out in another city, but it turned out to be a blessing. There are some shady transmission shops out there, but we ended up at one of the best in the entire country! Such professionalism and personal attention to our situation - from Yolanda, Armando, Melinda - and the entire team. They kept us updated every step of the way - and NEVER made promises they couldn't keep. These transmission mechanics really know what they're doing. They have decades of experience and are definitely experts in their field. I highly recommend them to anyone. Wish we could give them MORE than 5-Stars!!!

The transmision had no "contaminants" it was on a palet sealed in a bag and taped. Your poor excuse is obvious that it is a lie. the original from factory 1963 cork pan gasket, the brand new fresh transmission fluid was so heavily contaminated with metal shavings it looked like a candy apple metallic paint job instead of type f transmission fluid. The gaskets are all original work with brass as you can see in the pictures. How do you explain that?
Mind you, this transmission has never been down the road after they "rebuilt" the transmission.
The filter wasn't even replaced.
All that was done, the housing was cleaned up a bit.
The filter is the original... LOOK AT THE RUST. SHAME ON YOU. EXPECT A LAWSUIT VERY SOON. IM JUST WAITING ON THE REPORT.

This place is cool but busy. I mean that when I went there they had a 3 month wait but what I needed was not serious and I was not in a hurry that much. It did take a month or less to get it done but it was not a big deal. The work they did was good and my truck is working fine. I would go back again if needed. I am not sure about leaving a vehicle there for a long time but they did good work. I cannot see what the mechanic did I just hope they are honest. Also they have this weird thing with debt and credit cards were they charge a fee. I did not read nor look at the sign they had.

Very knowledgeable and experienced. They don't do foreign front wheel drives apparently but they were very nice and recommended someone.
