LAST CALL: nope not with John at the Tyler Tx store! 7:30pm on a Wed. night, husbands truck will not start, wife calls “that place where we get the better batteries and neat gifts”. Wife in pj’s from having been asleep…everyone works at least 2 jobs, right? John, over 2 or 3 phone calls, coaches wife through what she will need to know to buy a battery (to leave for husband to change out later). Wife gets to the Batteries Plus store. John has everything ready and loads the battery in the car. Yes, they were closing, but John said, ma'am, we are going to be here for you. THANK YOU! YES JOHN WAS THERE TO COMPLETE HIS GOOD DEED!!!
If you are not a customer, you're wasting your hard earned money! We purchased roadside emergency battery/chargers. They are the best must have tool in your car! Get one as a very special gift, get one for ALL your loved ones to keep them safe and get one for YOU!
(especially if jumping a vehicle might be a challenge for someone or alone/driving a lot/dark parking lots/new drivers/power outages…without this great little all in one bag tool ready in your car, never know when you will NEED one).
Go see John at the Tyler Tx store, near Barns and Noble Book Store!!!

The guys here are always super helpful and very friendly. They’ve helped me with my car and my car battery and helped me with my phone charging port. iPhone ER repair center wanted to charge me $150 to get my phone fixed, these guys fixed it for $10. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back.

I do not really do reviews. But I shop at this store all the time. The folks who work here are knowledgeable and very helpful. I never leave that I don't think "now that is good customer service!" Great place to shop. Highly recommend.

I purchased 2 batteries for my truck online and went to pick them up. I am recovering from knee replacement surgery and they carried the batteries to my truck for me. Even held the door open for me with batteries in their hands. They told me to call them when I returned the core batteries and they would come out to my truck and get them so I wouldn't have to walk inside the store. I got a good sale price on some good batteries also. I will most certainly go back.

Just be aware. If you buy their $25 battery it will deprogram your remote then they will sell you to reprogram it. Cost just South of a $100. Buy their expensive battery and program it yourself. Put your key in the door and lock and unlock your car 6 times then go about your way. It’s a scam and they will make feel like an idiot if you question them. Or buy their expensive key fab. I can’t stand people who like to get over on people. This is still Tyler Tx show some kindness

The two people who were there when I went were very nice, and the one who did the repair itself stayed 40 minutes overtime just to fix my phone. I didn't get the chance to properly thank him, so I'm doing it here! Thank you SO much, you're awesome.
If you need a screen replacement, I 100% recommend this place.

March 2021: I purchased a Duracell AGM battery for my vehicle, worked flawlessly until January of 2024. Go into this Batteries Plus location to attempt battery warranty process, explain to the counter rep that I’ve had the battery on a charger and it will not go above 4V. Rep places battery tester on battery and confirms that battery is not charged. The manager “Jay” then goes to explain in an aggressive and demeaning tone, that for Batteries Plus to warranty the battery, it must be at 10V (mind you that’s actually just enough to start some cars and not actually notice) and anything lower isn’t directly warrantied. I requested my core back as I wasn’t in the position to purchase a NEW battery when mine was still very much in warranty, and representatives got hostile, yelling at me while other customers were in the store, and yelling at me to leave while I’m walking out the door. 3 years ago I would’ve recommended this place to anyone. Now I say stay away unless you care to be talked to like you’re not worth these employees time.
