I seldom write reviews unless they are significantly superior to expectations. Stewart Land Designs was. We sought them out for installation of a gas fire pit and extension of our patio. They responded quickly and John came out to listen to our ideas and put a plan in place. Soon after I received an invoice for the services. Some of the services with planting and grass we delayed until spring. But the fire pit and patio we went forward on.Two areas stand out. One, John responded to communications almost immediately whether the weekday or weekend. Secondly, he was always flexible. When doing a large project you may see items that need modification. John was receptive to all of them and was always willing to make adaptations on the spot.His crew and project manager, Grant, were prompt, worked hard, and cleaned up each day. The final product is exactly what we were looking for. Especially in that we stated we wanted it to look like it was part of our outdoor area from the very beginning when we built the house 6 years age. It came out not as an addition but an original part of our landscape and house design.We couldn't recommend Stewart Land Design's and John more highly. We will continue to use them in the future. You should too.

Stewart did our entire backyard. Stone patio, arbor, large water fountain pot, redid all sprinklers, and drainage system. Their workmen were very skilled and the quality still shows years later. They are very responsive if something is needed. They have always done our grass/flowerbed maintenance.Services: Stone landscaping

It was a pleasure to work with the folks at SLD on our backyard renovation. It was so impressive to see the finished product look almost exactly like the original design rendering.John Michael was extremely knowledgeable and responsive and did an outstanding job of managing a complex project. This job included a new swimming pool / spa, putting green, outdoor bathroom, kitchen, tile, exterior lighting, upgraded drain system, a significant landscape install, etc.We are so pleased with this HUGE upgrade to our home and we'd highly recommend SLD to anyone.Thank you SLD Team!!!Services: Stone landscaping

We have had Stewart Land Design do several projects for us at 2 different houses. They’ve been excellent! Everyone there was always prompt and professional in all of their communication. Our yard(s) looked beautiful! Stephen is wonderful to work with, has great ideas and knows landscaping inside and out! We recently had a major project in building a stand-alone outdoor kitchen. Several contractors had opportunities to bid but Stewart Land Designs was by far the most professional and thorough. They did a wonderful job and John Michael was on top of everything from start to finish. This job included a brand new foundation, electrical, plumbing, roofing, landscaping, cabinetry, and the installation of our custom made Neapolitan pizza oven that weighs over 3,000 pounds. I would highly recommend them for any major or minor project. Cathey promptly set up a meeting for a design consult with John Michael, who was knowledgeable and professional in working with us to achieve our goals within our timelines. The project was well-managed and headache-free, which is exactly the kind of service I was looking for.

SLD has helped us with two of our homes. The first one was early in the beginning of their business. It was a more modest job with a smaller design concept and execution. Even though the job was small, the design was so nice that it made our yard the nicest in the neighborhood. When we sold, the yard was the reason we got asking price, which was over 40% more than we paid for the home. That just didn’t happen back then.Moving forward to 2018, we found our dream home and we called on SLD once again and they knocked it out of the park. This time on a much larger scale. The job consisted of new plants, shrubs, bushes, trees, sidewalks, and even an actual cul-de-sac. They re-graded my over half acre yard, installed front and rear drainage, a 14 zone sprinkler system, and even cut in a beach entrance to my pond. SLD does amazing work and I couldn’t recommend them more.Services: Walkway landscaping

We've worked with Stewart Land Designs on two previous projects. Our current project involved new landscaping, drainage system, and SOD. John's design for the new beds and SOD really transformed the property. John and Grant managed the project as expected and were great to work with. Both are very professional. I contacted several landscaping companies for a quote on drainage, beds, and grass (a complete makeover). Stewart Land Design is the only one that came with immediate design ideas and solutions. Great communication throughout the entire process, which is important to me. The workers were here early every morning, working until late in the day. Each day ended with them cleaning, blowing, and straightening their equipment before they left. The project manager, Grant, had an eye for detail and made sure the layout of plants, rocks, and borders were exactly right. Nothing was half done! We worked with John and couldn't be more pleased with the experience as well as the final result. Beautiful job which included a redesign of our hardscape, all new plantings and outdoor lighting. Would highly recommend!
