I recently took my truck with an electrical issue to K & I Auto Barn IIC. The staff were very welcoming and friendly when I arrived. The owner met with me to discuss my truck troubles, provided the contact for a tow truck he regularly uses, and scheduled a day for the repair.
After the initial diagnostics, they called to describe the problems found and quoted me a total cost of of $700 including tow truck, parts and service (by the way, tow truck dispatcher told me the trip cost from my house to the shop is $70 to $90 max)
However, when I picked up the truck, the total had increased to $842, including the tow truck of $114, parts, and labor. ?????
I found this a bit pricey and why the amount changed from the original estimate.
Overall, while you do pay for their expertise and service , be prepared for potential cost increases.
In my opinion, their prices are a bit on the high side.

I always have a good experience at K&L Auto Repair. Always up front with the cost any problems that they're having with my vehicle they call me and explain the problem explain what the total will be there is never a surprise with the bill.

Posting it to believe it.Side-by-side quote from a Mercedes dealer for replacing $60 temperature sensor harness AND what i paid for at K&L for its repair.This is not the 1st time we taking vehicles to this garage. Motorhome, SUVs, cars. All taken care of and always at the best price!

My husband bought a suspension lowering kit. He was having trouble pulling the shocks to put the kit on, so we decided to use K&L to put the kit on. The job was done at a fair price; turned out great!I will definitely be a return customer. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.Great job!Service: Steering/Suspension

Small, local, family-owned business. I'm a repeat customer. I 'should' be able to trust, but the owner has ripped his britches with me. K&L replaced my dead car battery. K&L had both of my key FOBs, one worked and the other had a dead battery. K&L replaced the dead battery in the key FOB and said the key FOB had to be reprogrammed. Really? Why? I have previously replaced the key FOB battery and did not need to reprogram the FOB?? I picked up my car, paid the invoice which included $100 to reprogram the key FOB. Wow K&L, I'm still curious as to why the need to reprogram the key FOB when it was only a battery that was replaced. I called my GM Dealership and asked the Service Manager if my situation would require the key FOB to be reprogrammed. GM Service Manager said the dead car battery, nor the dead key FOB battery would require the key FOB to be reprogrammed. To note, the key FOB not damaged, not over-used, perfect condition. I then placed a phone call to K&L to discuss with the owner, left a message with the front desk employee, and the owner has not returned my phone call. Shame on you K&L! The simple fact that you've not returned my phone call to discuss or explain yourself speaks volumes. You've lost my trust and my future business.
